GB News fans were up in arms as anchor Patrick Christys took aim at King Charles after his Christmas Day speech. The star βΒ who is married to fellow GB News host Emily Carver βΒ took to X yesterday (December 25) but risked the ire of his regular supporters as he hit out at the monarchβs βmeaningless word saladβ.
Christys wrote: βBit of a meaningless word salad from King Charles there. Liked the bit about remembering veterans, but found the rest of his Christmas message a bit pointless. What do you think?β His fellow GB News colleague Adam Brooks seemed to agree, writing: βDidnβt watch the Kingβs speech, Iβm really not a fan tbh.

Fans werenβt happy, however, as one fumed in the replies section: βDespite his best efforts, poor Patrick canβt find anything specific in the speech to cry about, so βa bit pointlessβ will have to do.β

βBloke fighting cancer tries to give a message of hope, unity and belief to his divided and unhappy country and you chose to come to Twitter to slag him off, rather than spend time with your child on their very first Christmas. Stay classy Christys,β another snapped.
However, others seemed to agree with Christys, as one said: βPointless is correctβ¦ time for William and Kate to lead the Royal Family.β
Another said: βI miss Queen Elizabeth II.β
βMuch ado about nothing. No message really,β a third echoed.
