Brooklyn Beckham has reportedly been left furious by what he sees as “deeply insulting” and “misogynistic” claims aimed at his wife, Nicola Peltz, as the real reason behind the bombshell legal letter sent to his parents comes into sharper focus.

The 26-year-old hot sauce enthusiast is said to have instructed lawyers to formally warn his parents, David Beckham and Victoria Beckham, to stop contacting him directly or indirectly. According to sources close to the family rift, the move was made to protect Brooklyn’s mental health after repeated requests for space were allegedly ignored.

The feud is understood to have erupted last May and intensified after Brooklyn and Nicola noticeably skipped Sir David’s 50th birthday celebrations last year. Since then, whispers have circulated suggesting Nicola is “controlling” her husband and somehow responsible for his estrangement from the Beckham clan — claims that have reportedly left Brooklyn seething.

Insiders say Brooklyn feels those narratives unfairly target his wife, painting her as the villain in a situation that was his decision alone. One source described the rumours as “so sexist and misogynistic”, adding that Brooklyn “does not stand for his wife being vilified in this way”. They said the storyline was “as old as time — blame the woman for the man’s actions — and it’s just deeply insulting”.

Meanwhile, David and Victoria are said to be devastated by the legal letter from their firstborn. Friends of the couple insist every attempt at contact or social media post was driven by a desire to heal the rift, not inflame it. “They are desperately sad,” a source claimed, stressing that the Beckhams “love Brooklyn deeply and will always be there for him”.

Tensions reportedly escalated further when Brooklyn blocked both of his parents on social media. He is also said to have been annoyed when Victoria liked one of his Instagram posts and David shared a black-and-white childhood photo of him over Christmas — gestures Brooklyn allegedly interpreted as proof his parents still see him as a child rather than an adult.

Those close to David insist he was simply trying to reach out and resolve the situation, and that the aggressive legal approach blindsided the family. Adding another layer to the drama, it has been noted that Nicola’s father previously hired high-profile lawyer Marty Singer — famously charging £800 an hour — during a legal dispute over Brooklyn and Nicola’s lavish 2022 wedding, which was eventually settled.

Despite the ongoing family war, Brooklyn has remained openly devoted to Nicola. When the couple renewed their vows last summer without any of his family present, he publicly gushed that he could “renew my vows every single day with her”, adding that finding the person you want to spend your life with “definitely shapes you as a person”.
