It’s been 17 years since her marriage to Shane Richie ended in an acrimonious divorce following his infidelity.
And on Friday, Coleen Nolan revealed that she discovered her actor husband had been cheating after she received a phone call from the other woman’s mother.
Speaking on ITV’s Loose Women, she recalled: ‘After two years of finding things out and getting back together, the thing that got me was when the girl he was seeing’s mum phoned and said, “Do you know where Shane is?”‘

After responding that her husband was away on a work trip, Coleen said that the lady on the other end of the line responded: ‘No, he’s on holiday with my daughter.’

Coleen had spoken of their split back in April on the same show, where she also revealed that she was forced to break the divorce news to their two sons, after Shane refused to take on the touch task.

The TV personality – mother of Shane Jr., 28, and Jake, 24, – said at the time: ‘I thought Shane Jr is very quiet, he will go away and think about it for an hour and come back and that Jake would go mental because he’s very emotional.
‘It had been going on with me and Shane for a while. We were friendly with each other and the boys never saw us arguing.
‘I was not ready to tell the boys and I didn’t want to but I had to tell them because Shane Snr. wouldn’t do it.

‘I was forced to tell them because a newspaper called me and told me it was going to be their front page. I didn’t want them going into school and finding out from their friends.’
She then described the moment she shared the news with her then-young children, saying: ‘[Shane Jr.] curled up in a foetal position and this noise came out like wounded animal.
‘Jake who was four just started crying because his brother was crying. He didn’t know what was going on.’

Their younger son Jake has since gone on to establish his own career in entertainment, finding success as the lead singer of the band Rixton.

EastEnders star Shane and singer Coleen were married for nine years before their 1999 divorce. Both have since remarried.
Singer Coleen has been married to Ray Fensome since 2007 – the same year that Shane tied the know with Christie Anne Goddard, with whom he has three children.
