Harry and Karen join me. I thought you were great. Oh, thank you so much. I really enjoyed it. I really enjoyed it a lot. And my goodness me, you have got better and better every single week, which is the whole point of the show and why we all watch and enjoy it. How are you feeling about it all? Um, do you know what? I’m just buzzing.
Um, you know, Shri is a bit of British British culture. It’s um something I’ve always wanted to do and to be able to express yourself. Look, I’m you know, I’m a I’m a certain type of person from a certain type of area. I never thought I’d be where I am today. And to be able to express myself with a smile and dancing with it, Hopefully it just sends a message to everyone out there to get up and express yourself in whatever way music makes you feel, right? Of course. Of course. Absolutely.
And okay, you’re in the bottom, which is not a nice place to be. But you flip it on on its head and you’re saved by the public because people want to see you. Oh, we couldn’t be any more thankful genuinely. It’s kind of like it’s a weird feeling, isn’t it? Knowing that people actually want you around because it’s like we’re in our own little bubble.
I think we spent a bit of time together and you forget other people exist. Um, you know, we’re in a training room for maybe uh six to seven eight hours a day. Um, as you know with Ross, you know, we go at it and genuinely it’s just one of those things where you’re like, “Oh, other people exist and oh, they want us around.” And, you know, it’s is so amazing.
It’s fantastic. Karen, he works so hard, doesn’t he? No, he does actually. We and we have fun as well. And I think there’s a there’s a good balance to it. you know, there’s the teaching aspect of it and and him having fun, but at the same time, you know, being driven and and being able to perform at like at your best, but also I want him to feel comfortable with himself because it’s completely out of his comfort zone and then jumping on his back.
We were going to do that today with me. But to be fair, I don’t want to cause you any injuries before Saturday night. No, no, no. You can take a ride whenever you want. Give you a I might take you up in that. It’s the best offering I’ve had. Come on. I’d be honored. That’s so naughty. I’ll tell you what though.

You You did do the Christmas special. Yes. So, you did. So, did that make you want to do Strictly? Literally. Love this. Want to do more? Literally, it was just a taster. You’re sort of in there. You’re seeing the magic of it. The wardrobe team. Oh my gosh. Amazing. You’re seeing obviously the pros around cuz I got to spend a bit of time with Karen during that process as well.
Uh you get sparkled up like genuinely one minute I didn’t have pockets. The wardrobe team 2 seconds later I had pockets on an outfit. It’s it’s just the the magic of Strictly is something that everyone should actually just embrace. Oh absolutely. Karen, you’ve been there since the very start. Are you not the longest serving pro? Yes. It’s been 14 years now.
So it you know and it’s been amazing. I mean I’ve seen I’ve seen everything. I’ve seen the changes. I’ve seen, you know, celebrities coming and enjoying and and it’s it is it is incredible to be a part of a show that is that people absolutely adore. Oh, and they do. They do. And it’s kind of the end of an era because obviously presenters are going to change.
You know, Tess and Claude said they’re going to go, but the show I mean, for goodness sake, survive the loss of Bruce Versail leaving. I mean, you know, so if you can survive that, I think the show will just will just continue. And both of those girls would want it to 100%. You know, these are these are women that I that I look up to and I learned so much from, you know, throughout the years and, you know, they are the comfort blanket.
They they were they are the face of Strictly Come Dancing. Um, so it is it is quite exciting to see who will step into their shoes. Well, Karen, I think you and Anton could do a pretty good job. There you go. I’m just putting it out there. Lorine said it first. I didn’t want to say anything, but I am up for the job, you know.

Absolutely. Absolutely. Exactly. Now K is obviously a great partner, but you are rehearsing with someone else, are you not? Who’s a lot smaller than you? Your baby girl. Oh, this is so adorable. She’s Yes. Well, Karen’s actually her standing, so you prepare me for Aubrey. Um, every week the the gift of Strictly genuinely, you think it’s just for yourself, but it’s for your family.
Um, she loves the show so much. though that the confidence that it gives her, you know, the pageantry, I’ve seen her dance moves. I’ve done all these other shows, you know, I’m a gladiator, I’m an Olympian, master chef, all of these things, she embodies and takes it on. And um with the with Strictly genuinely just is for the family and I’m just so thankful because I’m seeing her grow.
I’m seeing her like in a different time dancing with her daddy. How fantastic is that? Even this weekend, um she didn’t care what I was wearing. Obviously, I had a I had a wig on and I was in blue. I saw that you had a Yeah. But she said to She said, “Well, what’s Karen wearing?” Because I need to wear what Karen’s wearing.
So, I’ve actually brought her home a pink wig because you were like French, weren’t you? So, look. What are you doing on Saturday? Can you tell us? Yes. We are dancing a samba. So exciting. All about the hips. So exciting. I’m buzzing for this one. Like, you know, when I’m an energetic person, I’m a powerful person. So, I’ve had to control so much of it.
I’m here. I’m doing this and you know, I’m just trying to take it slow. Whereas now I can really give it. Just go for it. Go for it. Go for it. Go for it. That’s what we want to see.
