Ex Love Island star Olivia Attwood made her presenting debut on This Morning alongside pro Dermot O’Leary – and the seasoned host had a bit of feedback just seconds in
Olivia Attwood has made her presenting debut on This Morning alongside long-time host Dermot O’Leary – however, the 52-year-old already had feedback for the ex Love Islander just seconds into the show.
After Dermot welcomed Olivia onto the ITV show, the 5 ft 9 star told Dermot: “I want you to know that I did go for a smaller heel.” However, the 5 ft 7 presenter replied: “Could have worn a flat. All I’m saying. Early feedback. Could have worn a flat.”
He then tried to stand on the tips of his toes for the rest of the opening segment before admitting: “This is going to be very hard on my calves.”
Dermot O’Leary and Olivia Attwood presented together for the first time together on This Morning
While today’s episode marks Dermot and Olivia’s first time presenting together, some fans have been loving the former reality star’s debut. One viewer said that they’re “loving Olivia so far”, while another wrote: “Loving Olivia.”
A third said: “Love to see Olivia is presenting on #thismorning great addition!”
It’s been a month of highs and lows for Olivia – while she’s joined This Morning, she was also left shaken last week by an attempted break-in at her home. Taking to Instagram, Olivia revealed that burglars had tried to break into her house, writing: “That’s why we pay through the nose for private security.
“On site in 2 minutes with dog team and the incredible nw police force not far behind. We saw your face, we have your foot prints and finger prints. And sorry what you were looking for isn’t actually kept at the property.”
Olivia shares a £1million home with her footballer husband Bradley Dack and their dogs Lola and Stitch.
The ITV star risks running into her Love Island ex Chris Hughes at her new This Morning gig, with the Celebrity Big Brother star often appearing as a roving reporter for the show. According to reports, Olivia’s hiring was a “huge blow” to Chris.
A source told The Sun: “He doesn’t want to have to do live crosses to his ex in front of the nation – it’s so awkward and he feels like the viewers will be scrutinising their every interaction and every little facial expression will be analysed. It’s the last thing he wants.”
It has been seven years since the pair dated, having met on ITV2’s Love Island. Olivia has since married footballer Bradley, while Chris is currently in a relationship with his Celebrity Big Brother co-star JoJo Siwa.
