Anne is a valued member of the royal family
Princess Anne has largely remained on the sidelines of the reported rift between King Charles and Prince Harry, but she may be stepping in to help a reconciliation happen.
However, according to a new report, the Princess Royal, 74, has been giving her advice to older brother Charles, 76.

Princess Anne ‘urges King Charles to reconcile’ with Prince Harry
According to Woman’s Day, the Princess Royal is now encouraging the king to make peace with his estranged son “before it’s too late”.
A source claimed: “As tough as it’s been, Anne and Charles have been having serious discussions about his final wishes. It’s Anne that’s urging the king to pursue one in particular that right now appears to be impossible – finding a way to end this out-of-control feud between his sons, even if it’s not in his lifetime.”
While Prince William remains firmly estranged from brother Harry and Queen Camilla, whom Harry hit out at in his memoir Spare, “stays out of it,” Anne is said to be the only royal with enough emotional leverage to bridge the gap.
As tough as it’s been, Anne and Charles have been having serious discussions about his final wishes.
“Charles trusts Anne like no other,” the source continued.
Both Harry and William have long shared a deep respect for their aunt. This is particularly due to her military background and her straight-talking, no-nonsense style.
The insider added: “Both of them have had nothing but respect and affection for her from the day they were toddlers. Anne’s pragmatic, no-drama approach, which not unlike their late father’s, Prince Philip, is a potential bridge to reconcile Harry and William.”

King Charles and Prince Harry reconciliation
Since stepping back from royal duties in 2020, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s relationship with the royal family has become increasingly strained.
This is primarily due to their public interviews, Netflix documentaries and the bombshell revelations and allegations in Spare, Harry’s 2023 memoir.
In an emotional interview with the BBC last month, Harry claimed that King Charles isn’t speaking to him.
The interview came in the wake of his failed appeal against the downgrade of taxpayer-funded security when he visits the UK.
“He won’t speak to me because of this security stuff,” Harry told the BBC.
He also made a plea for reconciliation with his family, especially his father.
“I would love reconciliation with my family. There’s no point in continuing to fight any more. Life is precious. I don’t know how much longer my father has,” Harry said.
Despite his pleas, many have given up hope of seeing a reunion. However, Princess Anne may be the one to change this.
Whether Charles will act on her advice or whether his sons are ready to meet halfway remains to be seen. But for perhaps the first time, someone trusted and respected by both brothers is stepping in.
