William has always been vocal about his football love

Prince William made another appearance at the football last night (July 9) and fans are quite obsessed with his appearance.

The loved prince made an appearance at the Lionesses football match last night, watching the team land an incredible 4-0 win over Netherlands. Which was especially impressive following their 2-1 defeat to France earlier in the week.

Over the years, Prince William has not been shy about his love for football. And has actually been to quite a few matches already this year. But it was yesterday’s appearance which has left fans swooning.

William had a calmer reaction to the football match – unlike previous games. But he was spotted clapping and cheering the team on. And obviously he spent time chatting to fans around him.

It was reported that ahead of the game, he gave a message of encouragement to the squad.

He told them: “I just want to say the best of luck to all of you. I have seen a few of you and said that to your faces. There is a good mixture of those who have been and done a few tournaments before. And those whose first tournament this is.”

While the football match was on, Prince William was photographed having a lovely conversation with a young fan – and the pair even shared a high five together. Unlike other football games, William didn’t bring any of his children.

Earlier this year, he took Prince George to see a match in Paris, and the father-son duo appeared to have a wonderful time.

Fans swoon over William’s appearance

When photos of Prince William at the match began circulating online, fans immediately began swooning.

Taking to X, one fan posted a series of photos with the caption: “Seriously! This man! With all due respect Your Royal Highness, but damn.”

Immediately other royal fans began responding and agreeing, all loving Prince William’s look.

One wrote: “Aging like fine wine. This man is so handsome.”

Another penned: “Gorgeous. Handsome. A worthy future king right there!”

“I know right! Prince William is smoking hot indeed! Sorry Princess Katherine. No disrespect to you but your hubby is so handsome! They make a fantastic couple and will be an amazing future king and queen!”

It’s not the first time the future king has impressed with his appearance this year as fans were left impressed with his facial hair.

Previously, William has grown a small beard, but it quickly disappears. But back in May, when he made an appearance on the Buckingham Palace balcony for VE Day, fans were delighted to see it return.

And it turns out the reason why he initially shaved it all off was because his daughter, Princess Charlotte wasn’t a fan! And so he got rid of it.
