Prince Louis Nowhere to Be Seen at Wimbledon with William, Kate & Siblings – Internet Erupts Over Shocking Reason Behind His Absence

Prince Louis has yet to make his Wimbledon debut

Royal fans were left wondering where Prince Louis was this weekend after his noticeable absence from the Royal Box at Wimbledon, despite the rest of his family making an appearance.

Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince George, and Princess Charlotte were all seen enjoying the match from the Royal Box on Sunday, July 13.

However, the youngest Wales child was nowhere in sight.

Did Prince Louis go to Wimbledon?

No, Prince Louis did not attend the 2025 Wimbledon Men’s Singles Final. This marks another year without his debut at the iconic tennis tournament.

Kensington Palace did not provide a formal reason for Louis’ absence. However, insiders claim it likely comes down to age.

At just seven years old, Louis is still slightly younger than his siblings were when they made their first Wimbledon appearances.

Prince George was eight when he attended the men’s final in 2022. Meanwhile, Princess Charlotte was the same age during her debut in 2023.

The Royal Box is a high-profile space with limited seating and a strict code of conduct.

While royal children are given special permission to attend, it’s generally reserved for those able to sit through an intense multi-hour match without distraction.

It’s likely Louis spent the day at home, either with the family’s longtime nanny, Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo, or with his maternal grandparents, Carole and Michael Middleton.

However, some fans took to social media to question his absence.

“Where is Prince Louis?” One fan queried on X.

I honestly can’t wait for PrinceLouis to be able to attend more royal events because he never disappoints.

“Where is Prince Louis!!! Did they make him stay home? He’s so cute!” Another echoed.

“Free Prince Louis! We’re here for the shenanigans!!” A fan joked, while another quipped: “Prince Louis was grounded today lol.”

A fourth commented alongside a photo of the family at Wimbledon: “Beautiful family… would have been nice to see also the cute little Louis.”

“I honestly can’t wait for Prince Louis to be able to attend more royal events because he never disappoints,” another gushed.

The Wales family attends Wimbledon

While Louis stayed behind, the rest of the Wales family carried on with one of their favourite summer traditions.

As patron of the All England Club, Kate returned to Wimbledon this weekend to fulfil her duties.

The Princess of Wales presented trophies and cheered courtside with her children.

Her attendance this year was particularly meaningful. It marked her second Wimbledon year since returning to public duties following cancer treatment.

On Sunday, the princess looked radiant in a cobalt blue Roksanda dress. Meanwhile, Charlotte coordinated in a cream frock with navy piping and a matching blue hair bow. George and William wore classic navy suits and ties.

Despite Louis missing the match, fans were treated to sweet moments from Charlotte. The 10-year-old delighted royal watchers by animatedly reacting to the match. She was even photographed fanning her mum with a handheld fan in the summer heat.

While Louis didn’t attend this time, hopes remain high that the youngest Wales child will make his Wimbledon debut in 2026.

With his eighth birthday approaching next spring, he will be at the same age George and Charlotte were when they were first invited to sit courtside.
