Peter Andre has disclosed that he set a strict rule for his two eldest children, Junior and Princess Andre, before marrying his current wife Emily Andre.
In his memoir ‘Between Us’, Peter details how he strived to keep his love life separate from his role as a single father to Junior and Princess, now 19 and 17 respectively.
The singer, who turns 52 today (Thursday, February 27), explained: “As a single dad, it was crucial to me that, when they were with me, as they are half the time, they didn’t see me coming home with a string of different girlfriends. I kept that part of my life separate, until Emily came along.”

Moreover, Peter made sure his children never saw him kiss another woman, aiming to teach them “the meaning of commitment” and maintain “stability” in their home lives. He said: “I wanted them to understand the meaning of commitment, and for their home life to be as stable and ordinary as possible, given that their dad’s job meant he was often in the public eye.”
“Up until the time Emily and I got together, they had only ever seen me kiss one woman, and that was their mother,” he added, reports Somerset Live.
Prior to his relationship with Emily, Peter had previously been married to reality TV star Katie Price. The couple first crossed paths on ITV’s I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! in 2004, and within a year, they were married. Peter first became a father in June 2005, and his then-wife Katie Price gave birth to their daughter, Princess, two years later. However, their marriage came to and end in 2009.
Following his split from the ex-glamour model, the ‘Mysterious Girl’ singer found love again with Emily MacDonagh, whom he started dating in 2012. Although, they had actually met for the first time two years earlier after her dad, a urologist, operated on him to remove kidney stones. The pair exchanged vows in 2015, a year after welcoming their first child, Amelia.
Their son Theo arrived in 2016, followed by their third child, Arabella, who was born in April last year.
