Princess Andre’s ITV reality series has been commissioned for another two series but is now set to focus on her life rather than the family dynamic
Peter Andre and his wife Emily have reportedly pulled out of filming his daughter Princess’ reality TV show.
The first series of The Princess Diaries hit ITV screens earlier this year and was well received by fans following the 18-year-old’s own rise to fame, from a fashion and beauty influencer to young businesswoman determined to make her own money away from her parent’s fame.
Though a second and third series has been commissioned, it’s not thought that dad Peter, 52, and stepmum Emily, 36, will continue to feature on the show. This is despite the fact they are a huge part of Princess’ life and she is said to live with them at their house in Surrey.
While the teenager still spends lots of time with her mum Katie Price, the 47-year-old former glamour model turned media personality and podcast host didn’t feature on The Princess Diaries – apart from appearing in a voice recording on Princess’ phone.

Speaking out on her ‘ban’, Katie claimed she was “not allowed” to be on the show because of Princess’ management team, which is the same as her ex-husband Pete’s – who she also shares 20-year-old son Junior with.
This led to a public slanging match between exes Peter and Katie, which was said to have “taken the shine off” Princess. Now it’s claimed they’ve decided as a family that it’s better off for the show to focus on Princess alone, rather than her family life.
But a source said it’s “a nightmare for producers” who loved having Pete and Emily on the show and are now “struggling for content and storylines with just Princess alone”.
The source told MailOnline: “Pete and Emily will not feature in The Princess Diaries seasons two and three. It was discussed between him and Princess, and they decided as a family that it’s better for the show to focus on Princess alone, rather than her family life.
“Katie was obviously very hurt over not being asked to film alongside Princess for season one, and she caused a lot of drama and upset behind the scenes.
“No one wants Princess to feel caught between her two parents, so Pete has taken a massive step back, which he hopes will resolve many of the issues. Everyone just wants the best for Princess, and the show is her series after all, now she’s 18, she can stand on her own two feet.”

It’s thought that neither Pete nor Katie will feature in upcoming series of the show. A source told The Sun this “stops any unnecessary bickering in the public eye.” They added: “Both Katie and Peter are continuing to support Princess in the background.” The Mirror has reached out to reps for further comment on this story.
Speaking on The Katie Price Show podcast before The Princess Diaries first aired, mum Katie rubbished any rumours of a rift between her and ‘best friend’ Princess and said: “Princess’ show The Princess Diaries comes out Sunday and there has been all of these rumours that there is a rift between me and Princess.
“There is absolute no rift between me and Princess. We have never, ever, ever, ever had an argument to this day or a disagreement. We get on like best friends, mother and daughter. Our personal life together is amazing.
“People need to know when I was with Pete, we were both managed by the same management [who now manage Princess] and people will know who that is if they watch our shows and she managed Pete before he was in the jungle. She controlled the narrative of me and Pete, photoshoots, when we could hold hands, she was the dominator of it all.
“I have said to Princess just how it feels to me, because I should be there to support you. ‘I’m your mum, I’m proud of you’ – but they think I am trash basically.
“I have not been allowed to go on any photoshoot, no signings or Superdrug openings. Why? Because I’m not allowed and not welcome and it puts people in a situation because I don’t want her to feel she has to choose between me and her work because I want her to do well.
“Everyone knows she’s my daughter, so what different does it make? I find it an insult because I’ve been in the industry 30 years and if there is anyone better to advise or be there, it is me.”
