EastEnders fans witnessed the beginning of Kat and Alfie’s wedding day during Thursday night’s visit to Albert Square – as eagle eyed fans spotted a huge blunder

Kat and Alfie prepared to tie the knot for a third time during tonight’s episode of EastEnders – but things went terribly wrong. Fans were left on a huge cliffhanger tonight – but some were more interested in a ‘huge blunder’ they had spotted.

It’s been a difficult time for the couple, as they’ve faced a number of setbacks during the run up to their big day. After Alfie’s shock proposal, Kat was left horrified when she found an explicit video on the family laptop, thinking Alfie had paid for it.

However, she later learnt it was Tommy on Alfie’s laptop, but is still unaware of the fact it was actually villain Joel. Elsewhere, Kat was left heartbroken when Alfie rejected her advances.

Adding to this, the limousine that Kat, Alfie, Harvey and Kathy were using to promote their business via their wedding pictures was stolen under Alfie’s watch. It all got too much for Kat, who told Alfie she didn’t want to marry him.

Despite all the drama in Walford, fans’ eyes were elsewhere as they noticed a huge double blunder in the costume department. The start of the episode showed three couples in crisis, Kat and Alfie, Yolande and Patrick and Elaine and George wake up for the big day.

Aside from the drama, fans couldn’t look away from the fact both Kat and Elaine had woken up for the day with a full face of makeup, as they called out the ‘blunder’ on social media.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan penned: “Why is Kathleen sleeping in her makeup? #Eastenders,” as a questioned: “Why’s Elaine asleep with a full face of makeup on??? #EastEnders.”

A third who aired concerns for both characters penned: “why’s elaine and Kat waking up with a full face of makeup then #EastEnders.” However, it looked like both characters had more to worry about with their relationships in turmoil.

It was also a dramatic episode for George and Elaine, after Elaine admitted she had been unfaithful to George after seeing him comforting Cindy on the roof of The Albert.
