Romeo Beckham has made a short, sharp and very clear response to the news his brother Brooklyn Beckham has unfollowed him on Instagram as the family feud deepens
David and Victoria Beckham’s son Romeo Beckham has issued a sharp response to his brother Brooklyn Beckham appearing to unfollow him on Instagram, as the much-discussed Beckham feud continues to deepen.
The post from Romeo, 22, comes hours after the news broke that Brooklyn, 26, had unfollowed both himself and their brother Cruz Beckham on social media – as rumours of a feud in the Beckham clan ignite further with Brooklyn appearing to sever ties with his brothers.
However, those close to Brooklyn told The Sun today that Brooklyn and Nicola did not unfollow the brothers and had “no idea” about it until he read about it online. “It’s possible Romeo and Cruz blocked them, which would make it appear as him no longer following the brothers,” they said.
“He and Nicola certainly didn’t unfollow them or block them — they’re as confused as anyone else. The first they heard about it was when it was being reported on.”
Romeo posted a screenshot of his Spotify, showing he was listening to a song entitled Walking Away, from Justin Bieber’s new surprise album, titled Swag.
As he shared the screengrab he wrote: “Yup” in a one word response to his brother’s latest brutal move. He has also returned the favour by unfollowing Brooklyn on Instagram, too. Romeo also does not follow Brooklyn’s wife, Nicola Peltz, on Instagram either.
The feuding siblings’ brother Cruz, 20, also doesn’t follow Brooklyn on Instagram. The blunt and public statement from Romeo comes hours after it was reported Brooklyn had unfollowed him on Instagram.

Hot sauce entrepreneur Brooklyn still follows his famous mum and dad, so it is unclear if a war of words between himself and his brothers may have been happening behind the scenes. Despite still following his famous parents, Brooklyn has failed to appear at recent big family occasions or even acknowledge both his parents’ birthdays and his dad’s recent knighthood on social media.
The brutal move came shortly after Brooklyn appeared to offer an olive branch in the feud – as he and his wife Nicola posted a tribute to his little sister Harper Beckham on their Instagram stories to wish her a happy birthday.
Things are said to have been particularly tense between Romeo and Brooklyn as their bond appeared to deteriorate over the last few months following claims his younger brother’s ex-girlfriend Kim Turnbull was the source of their falling out.

In June, model Kim broke her silence on accusations that she had previously dated Brooklyn before sparking up a romance with Romeo. In a defiant statement on her Instagram account, she declared she would “not continue to receive harassment or be embarrassed on the basis of lies, to fit a certain narrative”.
She clarified: “I have never been romantically involved in ANY capacity at ANY point with the person in question. Nothing between us has occurred further than a school friendship at age 16.”

In an apparent response to Kim’s statement, Romeo hit back in a sassy response. On Instagram, he shared a still from a black and white movie that read: “What the world needs is a return to sweetness and decency.” Romeo then added his own remark: “Be nice to people and don’t tell unnecessary lies,” alongside a kissing face emoji.
Romeo and Kim dated for seven months before their split was reported in June this year. Meanwhile, Brooklyn has been married to wife Nicola Peltz since April 2022.
Earlier this week, Brooklyn appeared to offer an olive brand amid the family feud with a sweet tribute to sister Harper on her birthday.
It came after Brooklyn snubbed a number of family occasions throughout the year – including his dad David’s 50th birthday celebrations. He also publicly ignored his father being knighted.
The eldest Beckham son did wish his grandmother Sandra – David’s mum – a happy birthday two weeks ago, despite ignoring both of his parents’ birthdays. However, he did not do the same for Victoria’s dad Toni in May.
Earlier this month, Brooklyn’s wife Nicola hit back at claims she is “controlling” husband Brooklyn after sharing photos from a party with friends. Some fans had criticised the pair, claiming that Nicola was at fault for the rift between Brooklyn and his family.
Others came to her defence, writing: “The fact people are in this comment section talking bs about someone controlling a GROWN man is absurd. The guy is an adult and can make his own decisions, leave them be and stop blaming women for everything.”
