Princess Kate makes return to Wimbledon

Princess Kate has made her first appearance at Wimbledon 2025 today.

The elegant Princess of Wales was the epitome of regal glamour as she sported a white belted jacket and pleated skirt, complemented by her trusty bow accessory.

The Princess hasn’t been seen without her distinctive bow pin whilst attending the tennis championships since 2017.

Ahead of the final, the princess met the winner of the ladies’ wheelchair final, Wang Ziying.

Accompanied by All England Club chairwoman Deborah Jevans, Kate met 12-year-old Sophie Kneen, performer of the coin toss at the ladies’ final.

Kate also met with eight-year-old Lydia Lowe, who did the same at the ladies’ wheelchair final.

Unsurprisingly, the princess was met with a moving standing ovation from 15,000 fans inside Centre Court as she entered the royal box to claim her coveted seat.

Kate also greeted former Wimbledon champ Martina Navratilova in the royal box, before shaking hands with icon of the sport, Billie Jean King, who curtsied to her.

A slew of famous faces were spotted in the royal box today. Famous names included Adam Peaty and Holly Ramsay, Stanley Tucci, Greta Gerwig, Mo Farah and Sam Mendes.

Of course, Kate radiated beauty and grace in her timeless ensemble, expertly accessorised with her famous purple and green bow.

Kate’s quirky accessory is a nod to the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club.

The club’s colours have been green and purple since 1909.

The princess is known to be a keen lover of tennis.

She previously told Sue Barker on a 2017 BBC documentary: “I have watched Wimbledon, that was very much part of my growing up. It’s such a quintessential part of the English summer. And I think it really inspires youngsters, myself.

“It inspired me when I was younger to get involved in the game. It hasn’t changed either. I think that’s what’s so wonderful.”
