This Morning host Alison Hammond isn’t holding back about her blooming romance as she revealed she would marry her toyboy lover ‘tomorrow’.

Gracing Richard E Grant with her presence on her Smart TV podcast, Alison let slip a juicy detail about her and David Putman: “Oh do you know what? This is going to make headlines but, yeah, I would marry him tomorrow.”

Celebrating turning 50 today (Wednesday, February 5), the much-loved ‘Great British Bake Off’ star opened up about her love life with the former masseur turned partner, 23 years her junior, who she’s been dating since December 2023. Alison has even touched on the eyebrow raises over their age gap, telling Good Housekeeping magazine, “Yes, I’m 22 years older than he is, but if you saw us together, you’d understand. People have said to me: ‘We get it now.'”

In a twist that sparked whispers last year, Alison, who originally sent tongues wagging about an engagement to her Russian partner, was spotted wearing what some assumed was an engagement ring live on air.

Facing the insinuations head-on, the bubbly presenter exclaimed, “Oh my god apparently I am engaged? ! ” and quickly shut down the rumour by swapping the ring to her other hand during the show, quipping, “Oh I have put this on the wrong finger… Let me swap it over to stop these rumours,” as the camera rolled.

Alison has carved out an impressive career, becoming a familiar face on our screens over the years with numerous TV roles. She first shot to fame in 2002 when she appeared on Big Brother, and her career quickly skyrocketed from there.

Since then, she’s graced shows like Loose Women, Celebrity MasterChef, and even braved the jungle in I’m A Celebrity in 2010. The proud mum is most recognised for her role on ITV’s This Morning, where she made her debut in 2003, and more recently, as one of the presenters on the Great British Bake Off, reports Birmingham Live.
