Louise Redknapp has been through her fair share of heartbreak in the three years since she and ex, Jamie Redknapp, announced their shock split in 2017, after 19 years of marriage

As pop singer, fashion icon, and doting mother Louise Redknapp approaches her 50th birthday on November 4, she takes charge of her life with grace and poise. Still radiant after overcoming the sorrow following her unexpected split from Jamie Redknapp in 2017, after 19 years of marriage, Louise is, according to a close source, poised to prioritize herself and embrace the celebrations as a fresh beginning. “With her 50th birthday coming up, this is going to be the best year yet for Louise. She looks amazing, her career is flourishing and she’s never been more in love,” shared the insider. “People forget Louise has been through a lot and had a massive career – it’s like she’s lived a lot of lives. Going through such a public heartbreak was tough, but she’s more confident now and is really blossoming.”

Just three years ago, Jamie, 50, former Liverpool star midfielder, remarried in October 2021 and by the following month, welcomed his son Raphael with model wife Frida Andersson. This naturally came as another painful moment for Louise who had been part of his life for over two decades, reports OK!. Former Eternal songstress Louise made it clear in the past she was content being single for her sons’ stability, after her marriage with Jamie ended. She once revealed, “I’ve felt this as a mum… to say this in the most sort of respectful way, my boys’ lives changed dramatically [when she and Jamie split] and then changed again when Jamie got married and had a family. Their life changed and I felt like I needed to be their one staple.”

However, last year saw a change of heart for Louise who fell for Drew Michael, the ex-army man, and they’ve been inseparable ever since – going Instagram official in November after stepping out together in September 2023. Fresh from a romantic Greek getaway in Kefalonia and flaunting their love at Glastonbury, pals are now buzzing that Louise could be walking down the aisle once more. An insider dished, “Marriage could definitely be on the cards again for Louise – her new relationship is so different to any other she’s been in,” adding, “Drew is very supportive of everything she does. We could be hearing wedding bells very soon.”

Louise Redknapp has found herself in the midst of a spat with her former Eternal bandmates, Easther and Vernie Bennett. The disagreement erupted over the Bennett sisters’ decision not to perform at Mighty Hoopla due to its support for the trans community, leading Louise and Kéllé Bryan to step back from the planned reunion.

Amidst the tension, Louise has been leaning on her new beau, Drew, for comfort. Speaking on Loose Women with Kelle Bryan, Louise opened up about the ongoing conflict with her ex-bandmates and expressed gratitude for Drew’s presence in her life. She gushed about her partner: “He’s great and lovely. It’s just nice, it’s been a really long time for me. I’ve been on my own for a long time. So, it’s lovely to have met somebody that makes me so happy.”

As she approaches her 50th birthday, Louise is focusing on her revived career and her sons, after years of supporting her ex-husband Jamie’s successful football career, which included captaining Liverpool and Spurs, as well as his roles as a TV and newspaper football pundit and captain on A League of Their Own. The source revealed: “She loves having her fashion range with Peacocks, and is just having fun. When she was married to a footballer, her life revolved around going to games and his career. At times, hers was forced to take a back seat but now she is a point where she can put herself first.”

Louise also took to Instagram recently to express her immense pride after her youngest son Beau, 16, signed for Brentford FC, emulating his father’s path. “Beyond proud of my Beau Beau @beau_redknapp the Hard work pays off! ” she penned. “Congratulations on signing to @brentfordfc I love you so much xxx.”

Her elder son, Charley, crossed the Atlantic to America at the age of 20, and Louise didn’t hold back her pride on Instagram, stating: “I’m beyond proud of you Chaz and everything you are achieving. My partner in crime from day one.” She continued: “I’m so happy to see you following your dreams, getting out there and experiencing new things.”

Paying tribute to Charley’s adventurous move to the University of Arizona for his studies in sport, Louise commented: “It took a lot of courage to move over to America but you are smashing it and I miss you every day you are away and always look forward to the summer holidays when you are home.” With her sons chasing their ambitions and a supportive partner by her side, it seems Louise truly has the world as her oyster….
