Former glamour model Katie Price has opened up on a health issue after admitting she wakes up with a “soaking wet” bed. The 46-year-old mum-of-five candidly opened up about her pre-menopause symptoms. She said the issue first came about after her IVF journey, which she recently shared on Channel 4.

Katie revealed her latest health update during an episode of her podcast alongside her sister, Sophie. Speaking on The Katie Price Show, the entrepreneur explained how she also gets “brain fog” alongside her night sweats.

She said: “I’m getting the brain fog going through the pre-menostal [menopause] or whatever it’s called, and I wake up and my bed is soaking wet. I hate it.”

According to the NHS, early or premature menopause “usually affects women between the ages of 45 and 55”. The organisation added: “It can affect anyone who has periods.”

Symptoms can include hot flushes and night sweats, vaginal dryness, difficulty sleeping low mood or anxiety, and problems with memory or concentration.

Katie had previously revealed she was having blood tests to check if she is going through early menopause. At the time, she told her sister on the podcast: “I’m not sleeping at night and I’m normally a really good sleeper, so something’s going on.

“So I’m just going to get my blood test because maybe I’m having an early menopause, I don’t know how it all works, but I’m still having my periods.”

Katie has often been open about her health and many followers have expressed concerns in the past. Most recently, concerns grew over the appearance of Katie’s gleaming white teeth.

The new look in March this year brought speculation that she had updated her ‘Turkey teeth’. Despite having numerous veneers over the years, Katie, who has been open about her struggles with body dysmorphia, denied having any new dental work done.

Instead, she responded to speculation, saying: “People find anything to pick on.” She then suggested her teeth might appear larger because her “lips were thinner”.

Amid the speculation, an expert told the Mirror: “Oversized veneers can cause several issues, including bite misalignment.”

Dr Dalel Trabelsi, dentist and clinical lead at Tooth Club, went on to say this “may lead to discomfort or temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders, and they can also interfere with speech by affecting tongue movement and may irritate the gums, increasing the risk of inflammation or gum disease over time”.

Katie recently posed alongside her eldest son, Harvey. The duo sang a sweet song together as they expressed their love for each other.

Fans shared supportive messages in the comments section of the upload. “You’re a great mum to Harvey and he knows it too,” wrote one user. Another added: “Cutest thing ever. Beautiful.”
