Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd has been pictured at his wedding day, taking place in Manchester today, as he and Hanni Treweek tie the knot one year after getting engaged

Soap star Jack P Shepherd and his bride Hanni Treweek as they pair are officially married! The pair have been seen together in the first photographs from their special day today, as they tied the knot at Manchester Cathedral.

The Coronation Street David Platt actor, 37, was photographed looking dapper in a suit as he stood alongside his new wife Hanni, 36, moments after the pair exchanged vows and said ‘I do’ in front of beloved family and friends in a stunning ceremony.

Photos show the newlyweds matching in white as Jack sported a fashionable off-white suit jacket on top of a black waistcoat, and a white shirt. His ensemble was completed by a pair of black suit trousers and a black bow tie.

Hanni, meanwhile, was a vision in white as she wore a stunning long dress with a full skirt and dramatically long train. The dress comprised of a lace, off-the-shoulder top with long sleeves which made the bride look elegant and beautiful. She topped off the look with a dramatically long veil, which was fastened into place using a tiara.

The newlyweds shared a romantic kiss on the steps of Manchester Cathedral as elated guests covered the happy couple with confetti.

Jack and Hanni got engaged last year, after the soap actor popped the question to his former soap colleague during a romantic safari adventure in Tanzania.

The soap star previously revealed he had taken part in Celebrity Big Brother earlier this year to help pay for the lavish big day, but he didn’t expect to win the ITV reality show.

Ahead of their big day, the couple gave glimpses of the planning process, which the pair have been doing with the help of events company Taylor Lynn Corporation.

In an Instagram post where Hanni shared highlights from the planning process, including a snap of the day she chose her wedding dress and the wine they have picked out for the occasion, she revealed sweet details. Hanni revealed she and Jack had “built our guest list in this cosy little cabin”.

As she marked the four-week countdown to her wedding in the post, she gushed: “Here’s to four weeks of making special memories, feeling excited, nervous, overwhelmed, emotional, in love and everything else that comes with being a bride”. And groom Jack commented: “It’s gonna be EPIC!”

Meanwhile, Jack previously gave an insight into their wedding as he was quizzed on Good Morning Britain on if he was going to invite his Celebrity Big Brother housemates to celebrate his big day. Jack confessed: “I don’t think so. I’ve only known them three weeks and have a guest list a mile long.”

MCPIX)According to the Daily Star, Jack recalled: “We got chatting, I made Hanni laugh, we had a couple of drinks and we flirted. That was it.”

The pair began dating later that year when they bumped into one another at a supermarket, with Jack joking about the awkwardness of their meeting and Hanni expressing concerns about her appearance. Jack, however, was smitten, saying: “I actually thought she looked fit I just saw the girl I fancy wearing Lycra! We quickly went on our first date and we just clicked.”
