Emmerdale aired some big scenes with Joe Tate and Dr Crowley this evening as the surgeon exacted his revenge. At the end of the last episode, Joe was hit over the head with a shovel.

At the start of the episode, Joe found himself on an operating table – with Dr Crowley looming over him. Dawn was worried that she hadn’t heard from Joe and she expressed her fears to Kim, who was desperate to get a first date with her new man Eddie.

Back on the operating table, Joe was blackmailed by Crowley for money – who told him he would remove his kidney if he didn’t give him the money he needed. He warned Joe he needed to hand over the bank details and log ins or he’d be dead.

As Joe was asked about his passwords, he then revealed to Crowley that his password was ‘dawn97’, with fans left laughing over the obvious password choice. One shared: “not me thinking it’s be funny if joe’s bank password would be smth to do with dawn and turns out it actually is “dawn97”, hes so down bad for her im crying theyre so cute #emmerdale.”

“Can’t stop laughing that a rich man like Joe Tate, has such an easy passwords for his online banking dawn97 #emmerdale,” another shared on social media, stunned by Joe’s choice of password.

Speaking about the big scenes, Ned said of his co-star who plays Dr Crowley: “James Hillier is a really nice guy and I enjoy working with him,” he said, “The character that he built is fun and has more dimensions than just a helper. I think it’s cool. He serves as a very interesting character going forward.”

Elsewhere, fans have been growing suspicious about Eddie and his real intentions, especially with the arrival of new character Celia, who is the farm owner living next to Moira and Cain.

One fan wrote: “Isn’t Eddie going to be the link between Corrie and Emmerdale when they do the county lines storyline in January?” and another added: “Probably someone who’s gonna kick Kim etc out of home farm and make it theirs!!”

“Maybe he’s related to that woman who Paddy confronted about the out of control dog that bit him…brother and sister duo with property plans that will impact Kim,” a third suggested, with a fourth suggesting: “Is he gonna be linked to Celia. And gonna try and con Kim out of some land?” as they shared their theory.
