There could be a new Emmerdale romance on the cards, fans are predicting, amid recent heartache.

Viewers are hoping Mary Goskirk will find love after the drama with Suzy Merton earlier this year. A new theory has predicted she will end up with a new character who recently arrived on the ITV soap.

Fans were introduced to new farmer Celia, played by actress Jaye Griffiths, just weeks ago. She featured in drama with Paddy Kirk, while she also got on the wrong side of Moira Dingle.

So could Celia and Mary cross paths, and might it lead to an unexpected romance for the pair? Some fans are certainly hoping so, with a new theory that the pair could “date”.

The theory read: “Mary and Celia need to date… and now I have thought so much about it I am losing my mind. I actually need this SO BADLYYYY.”

Another fan agreed Mary “needs a partner”, while a third asked: “When will Mary find love and who with?” also keen to see her be happy with someone. As for a possible pairing, another fan said: “Mary & Celia … maybe .”

Other romances called for by fans included a Robron reunion amid Aaron Dingle and ex-husband Robert Sugden getting closer again, and a Vanity reunion for Charity Dingle and Vanessa Woodfield. Some fans wondered whether Bear and Claudette might be paired up.

Amid Vinny Dingle’s turmoil, fans have wondered if he and Kammy may end up together, or if Kammy and Vinny’s fiancée Gabby will get together. Victoria Sugden and Mackenzie Boyd is another couple fans came up with.

Multiple fans believed that last suggestion had “potential” even giving them a ship name. Others wanted to see Victoria with someone new, while fans also wanted to see Belle Dingle with someone after her abusive marriage to Tom King.
