Danny Jones’ wife says ‘men and women don’t think the same’ after Maura Higgins scandal

Georgia Jones has said that men and women are more different than ever in today’s society as she returned to her podcast, Mum’s The Word, after her husband Danny’s BRITs kiss with Maura Higgins

Danny Jones’ wife has insisted that men and women do not think the same in her first podcast since her husband’s scandalous kiss with Maura Higgins at the BRIT Awards last month. While Danny, 39, went on to issue a grovelling apology to his wife and their son Cooper, seven, amid the backlash, Maura, 34, has remained silent on the matter.

Amid the fallout, former Miss England Georgia temporarily moved out of their family home but has since returned to work things through with her husband. Georgia returned to her Mum’s The Word podcast this month where she has insisted that men and women are “wired differently” when it comes to the way they think.

The podcast episode which was recorded before Danny’s kiss with Maura on March 1, saw Georgia enter into the discussion with Matt and Lawrence who are the hosts of the Secret Life of Dads podcast. The trio spoke about how relationships have changed in recent years and the different roles that me and women play in modern day romances.

Georgia, who tied the knot with Danny in 2014, said: “I do think we are wired differently. I think women think a certain way, and I think men just don’t think a certain way, which is fine. We are different. We are. I think that is the problem. I think we both need to realise that the other one doesn’t think that way.”

The mum-of-one went on to share an example from her own life when it comes to her seven-year-old son Cooper. “I sleep with the bedroom door open, even though the landing lights are on for Cooper and it might disturb my sleep, I want to make sure that I definitely hear him if he wakes up. I couldn’t sleep knowing that I might not hear Cooper.”

Last week, Georgia returned to working on her Mum’s The Word podcast as she was spotted leaving a London recording studio. She met up with her sister in the capital as she recorded her comeback episode to the podcast.

The influencer looked radiant as she stepped out in a light green jacket over a white graphic T-shirt. She paired it with a pair of straight leg blue jeans and black boots. The sisters linked arms as they walked out the building together. Georgia’s ring finger was seen for the first time since the scandal as her wedding band and engagement ring were firmly on.

Georgia confirmed she was heading back to work in a social media post yesterday. She shared a snap of her son Cooper riding his bike and wrote: “School drop @mumstheword_pod recording day.”

Meanwhile, in a statement, McFly singer Danny shared a grovelling apology as he finally broke his silence on his kiss with Maura. Danny said: “Hello everyone, sorry it’s taken me a while to post this but I’ve taken some time out to be with those closest to me. I want to deeply apologise to my wife and family for putting them in this situation.

“I love them so much and we’ll continue to deal with this privately. I love you guys, thank you for your patience, understanding, and support. See you all soon, Danny.”
