Victoria Beckham reveals the sad truth about her ‘miserable cow’ days

Victoria Beckham has addressed her reputation as a ‘miserable cow’ as she revealed that sad truth about how she was viewed in the past and how she’s much happier now.

Posh is an icon who has famously refused to smile for the camera for decades.

However, the former Spice Girl has revealed she’s been surprised to see how happy she is in recent photos – suggesting she’s ditched her trademark look.

‘I looked at some pictures of myself recently and was really struck by how happy I looked.’

She told The Times that when she posed for pictures in the past, she felt insecure and not at all the confident person she is now.

‘In the past I’ve always looked at those red carpet pictures of me and seen a woman who looks nervous and insecure. Everyone else saw a woman who looked grumpy and stern,’ she said.

She then added: ‘I suppose that’s how I got the reputation of being such a miserable cow.’

The star revealed that she is a happy person these days, with a lot to look forward to with a new collaboration with Mango launching just as she celebrated her 50th birthday.

The star celebrated the milestone birthday with a £250,000 party at the Oswald’s private members club in London.

It was revealed to be a raucous event with Posh being carried out of the venue on her husband’s back, the Spice Girls reuniting for the night, and rumours circulating that Tom Cruise was doing the splits.

Victoria added that she was ‘excited about the future’ and not particularly worried about aging, saying she’d received some pretty sage advice from a fellow fashion designer.

‘The thing with ageing is that it is what it is. I always remember Marc Jacobs saying to me when he turned 60 that it was better than the alternative of not turning 60. It’s good advice!

‘But generally I feel good about things. I have better opportunities now than I did when I was younger.’

Since the release of the Netflix documentary, Beckham, the couple has been in the spotlight and seen as a power couple with a perfect family.

She revealed that she and her husband have taken so many knocks in the past that it’s a pleasant change to be complimented.

‘David and I have both been kicked so much in the past, so to get to the point where people go, actually, ‘You go’, ‘Good on you’, is a nice surprise. But it was never about trying to be perfect.’
