David Beckham’s parents, Ted Beckham and Sandra West instilled in him a deep passion for football.

His parents regularly travelled 200 miles from their London home to watch Manchester United games
with their children because they were such ardent fans of the professional soccer team, according to People.
Following their 1969 wedding, the couple welcomed three children into their family: daughters Lynne Georgina and Joanne Louise, and son David.

After thirty-three years of marriage, Ted and Sandra separated in 2002.

David has stated that their shared love of Manchester United, the team the future star of the United Kingdom will play for, and football helped them become close.

More importantly, Ted has been teaching him how to play football since he was a little child and has been practicing every night after work.
Sandra was a hairstylist in nursing homes, and Ted was an Essex heating engineer and appliance repairman who made his fortune installing domestic boilers.
David discussed their unwavering work ethic and opened up on what it was like to watch them put in the work for their family of five in an interview with “The Father Hood”.

“When we were kids he used to go out to work at six o’clock in the morning and often come home at nine o’clock at night,” David said. “My mum was the same — she used to work during the day and then in the evenings, once my sisters and I were in bed, she’d do hairdressing until 12 o’clock at night.”
After introducing their first child, Lynne, to Ted and Sandra in 1972, came David in 1975 and Joanne in 1982.
Eight grandchildren are also grandsons of the ex-couple. Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz, and Harper are the four children that David and his wife Victoria Beckham have together.
In the meantime, Lynne and her ex-husband Colin Every have three children: Freddie, Georgina, and Josh. Joanne and Big Brother UK contestant Kris Donnelly had a daughter named Peggy, however, they split up soon after the baby was born.

In addition, Ted and Sandra have one great-granddaughter, Winter Rose, who is the offspring of their granddaughter Georgina.
Regarding his parents’ relationship, David claimed in his autobiography that Ted loved Sandra even though he didn’t show it to him or his sisters.
“He’s quite hard-faced and can be sarcastic,” David wrote. “He also gets fired up easily … The quality I like least in myself is my short temper. I think I get it from my dad.”
