David Beckham is reportedly pushing hard to sign a Real Madrid star for Inter Miami this summer.

Inter Miami have been linked with a number of top players over the summer, with Sergio Ramos rumoured to be heading to Florida.

And according to Sport, Beckham is pushing to bring Luka Modric to Inter Miami,

although the deal is unlikely to be completed as the veteran midfielder is close to signing a new contract with Los Blancos.

Modric has been linked with Inter Miami for some time, with speculation linking him with a move away from the Spanish capital in search of a new challenge.

However, Modric is likely to stay with the Champions League holders.

Inter Miami head into the summer with a major hole to fill in central defence, following the season-ending injury to Nicolas Freire. While Modric could be another high-profile signing for Inter Miami, he is unlikely to solve their main problem.

Therefore, Inter Miami’s failure in pursuing Modric will not be a disaster, although this deal can still happen in the future.
