David Beckham is believed to have used money to manipulate the results of the Primetime Emmy awards (video)

Sharing with Hello!, former football star David Beckham said that he and his wife (Victoria Beckham) felt overwhelmed and happy when the biographical film was so warmly received.

Before that, there was positive feedback through millions of views on the online platform Netflix,

followed by recognition from professional judges of the top prestigious award of American television.

David Beckham once expressed that Beckham is not just a simple biographical documentary but a love letter to football and family – what is most important and meaningful to him.

The process of making the film with David Beckham was also a private journey, where he and his wife frankly faced the things that created storms for their lasting marriage.

The film received 5 nominations for the 2024 Primetime Emmy in the categories for Non-Fiction Documentary,

including Best Film and other awards for Director, Cinematography, Editing, Music.

British press commented that with these 5 nominations, David Beckham has created an impressive achievement that some other ambitious documentaries about the British Royal Family such as Harry & Meghan have not been able to reach, even though they have set a record for the number of viewers on the Netflix platform.

The film Beckham consists of four parts, telling the story of one of the football stars with global fame for decades, a successful businessman and a pop culture icon, one of the most popular athletes of all time. Beckham created a strong attraction when leading the audience into a story that is both personal and full of surprises about how a young man from a working-class background struggled and made efforts to reach the pinnacle of his football career and at the same time had the most desirable marriage of that time with a music superstar (Victoria Adams – member of the Spice Girls).

David Beckham has maintained his peak appeal even after retiring – something that very few athletes can do. Not only him but all members of the Beckham family are people who are closely followed by the media.

The Beckham documentary also mentioned the adultery scandal that was once considered the biggest challenge for the former football star. The star couple admitted that it was the most difficult time for their marriage, when the whole world seemed to be against them.
