Beyonce’s DNA Connection To The Royal Family Is In Fact Very Real

HIGHLIGHTS

Beyoncé Knowles-Carter may actually be royalty through an ancestral family link to the British Royal Family. A distant connection to Queen Elizabeth II.
Like Queen B, the iconic Henry II influenced England and France. Both possess the Midas touch in terms of success and prosperity in their respective reigns.
Beyoncé has roots in Creole heritage, symbolized by a mix of African, Native American, Irish backgrounds tracing back to Texas and Louisiana cultures.

If you ask any dedicated Beyoncé fan, they will unequivocally tell you that she is royalty. And now, an ancestral connection appears to suggest that it is not just hyperbole, the legendary musician might just have some noble blood coursing through her veins.

Beyoncé Knowles-Carter has shown her ordinary side from time to time, such as when she openly admitted that being blamed for the break-up of Destiny’s Child led her to depression. For the most part, however, she has maintained an almost god-like status, especially among her loyal following.

When star power meets tech power like Jack Dorsey, the rules of Twitter may not be the same for everyone including Beyoncé and Jay-Z.

The Lemonade singer has achieved this not just through her iconic music portfolio, but also through multiple million-dollar businesses owned between her and husband Jay-Z. Beyond all that, however, an ancestral family link might just prove that she has connections to the actual British Royal Family.

According to a link first uncovered by CBS News, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter is reportedly a distant relative of Queen Elizabeth II. This remarkable connection traces back to a common ancestor, Henry II of England, making Beyoncé the 25th cousin once removed of the more recent British monarch. The discovery of this fascinating connection was also made possible through the ancestry website Geni, which traced the lineage back to Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles-Lawson.

Known for his expansive reign over the Angevin Empire, Henry II controlled not just England, but also large swathes of France, Wales, Ireland, and had influence over Scotland and Brittany. His era of prosperity is mirrored in the success Beyoncé has achieved in her career.

The Royal family has restrictions on what they can eat, for more than one reason.

Much like Queen B, Henry II’s reign was marked by significant expansion and wealth. Just as his touch seemed to turn everything to gold, Beyoncé has transformed her music, businesses, and personal brand into a global empire. Where his kingdom collapsed under the rule of his son, John, Bey’s efforts to cement her legacy are evident in her mentorship of her firstborn daughter, Blue Ivy Carter.

As well as having connections to the British Royal Family, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter also has ties to a rich Creole heritage, a vibrant culture that emerges from the intermingling of French, African, and Caribbean influences.

According to Kreol Magazine, Creole culture encompasses a variety of languages and unique traditions. It is especially prominent in Louisiana, USA, where New Orleans boasts a significant Creole population.

Beyoncé’s familial roots in this culture are also embedded through her mother, Tina Knowles-Lawson. Tina was born in Galveston, Texas, and her ancestry includes a mix of African, Native American, and Irish backgrounds. On the other side, Beyoncé’s father, Mathew Knowles, contributes African-American heritage from Houston, Texas, to the family lineage.

Nixon has been asking his mom why Beyoncè “doesn’t love” him.

An interesting figure in Beyoncé’s Creole ancestry is Joseph Broussard, a notable leader of the Acadians in Canada. Broussard resisted British rule before relocating his community to southern Louisiana in 1765. His leadership and legacy are integral to the establishment of the Cajun way of life in Louisiana, a culture that continues to thrive to date.

In another intriguing look into the genealogical connections between celebrities and royalty, a CBS report from 2012 named Hilary Duff as America’s “most royal” celebrity, based on research from FindMyPast.com. The site identified Duff’s closest royal ancestor as Alexander Spotswood, a British Army officer and the Lieutenant Governor of Virginia, who also happened to be the 10th great-grandson of Edward III.

Duff was revealed to be the 18th cousin of Queen Elizabeth II, a connection further enriched by her descent from Catherine Car, who some historians believe was the illegitimate daughter of Henry VIII.

Duff’s claim to royal connections placed her ahead of other celebrities with noble lineage, including actress Brooke Shields, who is the queen’s 18th cousin once removed. Shields is said to share a lineage that traces back to King Henry IV of France and John of Gaunt, the 1st Duke of Lancaster.

Following Duff and Shields in the royal rankings are actor-siblings Maggie and Jake Gyllenhaal, who are the queen’s 19th cousins. This list of celebrities with royal ties also features names like Paris Hilton, Brad Pitt, Alec Baldwin, Ellen DeGeneres, and of course, Beyoncé herself.
