This Morning’s Ben Shephard tells Martin Lewis to ‘get lost’ as host caught off guard

On Tuesday’s instalment of This Morning, Ben Shephard was left less than impressed as money-saving expert Martin Lewis caught the presenter out while playing a game on-air.

This Morning presenter Ben Shephard was left feeling red-faced during Tuesday’s show. It comes after ITV viewers were shown a viral clip of two people playing an extreme version of the popular children’s game, Simon Says.

In disbelief at the speed the contestants were going, Ben said: “I can’t breathe watching that! I’m trying to work out how they did it.”

However, the This Morning stars decided to give the game a go themselves, wanting to see how well they’d be able to do.

With Martin Lewis coming over to be the person instructing them, the money-saving expert said: “We’ll start easy.”

Both Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley stood up, ready to be instructed, as their two guests followed.

The money-saving star said: “Martin says put your hand on your shoulders. Martin says put your hands on your hips.

“Martin says put your hands on your knees, done you’re all out!”

The ITV stars failed as they were watching Martin’s movements who put his hands on his head as opposed to his knees, catching them all out.

Cat shouted: “That was terrible!” As Martin walked away from the table where they were all playing, Ben jokingly replied: “Martin, get lost!”

His co-star applauded his technique to get people out of the game, calling it very clever.

Speaking to Martin, Ben shouted over: “The look of glee on your face! I’ve been practising, that’s how awful that was. I’m devastated.”

Touching on Ben’s frustration, Cat added: “So angry, so angry right now!”

Elsewhere during the show, Ben got a bit of a scolding from Cat after sharing some words of warning when speaking to Grand Designs star Kevin McCloud.

Speaking about a particular episode, Ben highlighted one house was meant to take eight months to complete, but ended up being done six years down the line.

Griminancing, Cat said: “I’m doing up a house at the moment, don’t say things like that! It sounds dreadful!”

Sharing some advice, Kevin told the ITV star to do things slowly and know her budget.
