Strictly Come Dancing enthusiasts are calling for a change in the presenting line-up, suggesting Fleur East should permanently replace one of the main hosts.
The emotional moment came as Fleur was interviewing recently eliminated contestant Jamie Borthwick and his professional dance partner Michelle Tsiakkis about their departure from the show.
The pair found themselves in the bottom two on Sunday night’s dance-off, competing against Montell Douglas and Johannes Radebe. Unfortunately for Jamie, the judges decided to save Montell and Johannes, ending Jamie’s Strictly journey just before the quarter-finals.
During their appearance on Strictly It Takes Two with host Fleur East, the pair discussed their exit, leading to an emotional moment. As they watched a recap of their Strictly journey, Michelle was seen crying on Jamie’s shoulder. An emotional Fleur East commented: “As an actor, you really know how to put on a show.”

Jamie, also teary-eyed, interrupted Fleur to ask ‘are you crying as well?, reports the Express, to which Fleur admitted: “Yeah because you got me emotional! It really did! ” Reflecting on their time on the show, the pair highlighted their Paso doble performance, with Jamie saying: “As much as I love the rhumba, I have to say that paso, that was good. I loved that.”
“I’ve got a great friend in this one, but everyone who works on the show, and all the people don’t see behind the stage. They’re all absolutely brilliant and I’ve made some really good ones and I’m really pleased about that.”
Devastated fans took to social media to express their sadness at Jamie’s departure, with many touched by Michelle’s emotional reaction. A fan tweeted: “Watching Michelle cry #ItTakesTwo is making me emotional” One added: “Michelle is breaking my heart. What a gorgeous soul.”
