Loose Women presenter Stacey Solomon got all emotional on Monday night after watching two of her son start embark on a new adventure as they start new schools

Stacey Solomon shared an emotional post with fans on Monday night as two of her five children started new schools earlier in the day.

The Loose Women presenter, 33, admitted her heart was “aching” after watching her youngest son Rex, four, head off for his first ever day of school on Monday morning, with the former X Factor contestant also paying tribute to older son Leighton, 11, as he progresses to secondary school.

Stacey, who shares three of her children with husband Joe Swash, sent love to “every parent or carer out there not finding days like this easy for many different reasons” as she shared a snap of Rex and Leighton ready for school with her 5.7million Instagram followers on Monday evening.

In the sweet snap of two of the mum-of-five’s sons, Rex and Leighton could be seen beaming on the grounds of Pickle Cottage in their uniforms, ready for the new school term. Stacey – who blurred the names of her son’s respective schools out, captioned the update: “Time is a thief And Just Like That A Whole new adventure begins, and an old era ends… My darling boys, as you go out into a whole new world, Primary & Secondary school I hope you remember that you are strong, kind, intelligent, caring, young men with all of the love here at home you will ever need.

“Be yourselves, don’t change for anyone. Stay true to who you are and enjoy those first days, because take it from mum who knows, you’ll blink and it’ll be the last days Good luck and have so much fun. To the moon and back Rex & Leighton. We love you P.S a huge hug to every parent or carer out there not finding days like this easy for many different reasons. I’m with you. My heart is aching.”

Stacey’s fans and famous followers loved the devoted mum’s candid post, with one telling the star: “remember these days so much, time just goes so fast before you know they will be all finishing school. wish time would stop just for a while so we could have a few more cuddles. enjoy the little ones @staceysolomon get as many hugs and kisses as you can.”

Earlier this year, Stacey admitted she struggled to connect with other mum’s at Leighton’s primary school at first, as her second eldest child finished for the year in June ahead of starting secondary school. The Sort Your Life Out presenter, 33, confessed it took her “a really long time to find mums that like me” as she shared a candid insight into her life and personal relationships.

After sharing a snap of a load of children and other ‘school mums’ enjoying a dip in the swimming pool nestled in the garden of Pickle Cottage, Stacey took to her Instagram Stories on in June to get real with her fans. “It’s starting to feel emotional now because it’s nearly summer and then that’s it, none of Leighton’s friends are going to the school that he’s going to,” the Instagram sensation began when addressing her 5.7million followers.

“I just feel really nervous for him but hopefully they’ll all stay in touch, I really hope so because I like the mums too. It took me a really long time to find mums that like me. But Rex is going to Leighton’s school and some of their siblings are going there as well so hopefully I’ll still see them.”

In addition to sharing Leighton, 11, with ex-fiancé Aaron Barnham, Stacey is also a proud mum to 16-year-old Zachary with her childhood sweetheart and shares son Rex, four, and daughters Rose, one, and newborn Belle with husband Joe Swash.
