Stacey Solomon was overjoyed as she made her return to Loose Women today properly for the first time in eight months. She opened up about her struggle with trying to get tongue tie diagnosed in her daughter Rose
Stacey Solomon documented her struggle with tongue tie in her daughter Rose as she returned to Loose Women.
The 32-year-old presenter made her return to the ITV show’s panel properly for the first time in months, after welcoming her and husband-to-be Joe Swash’s daughter Rose into the world in October.
And as she joined Kaye Adams, Judi Love and Nadia Sawalha on the panel, Stacey gave fans an update on her home birth, her baby Rose and her struggles with tongue tie.
Speaking to her co-hosts, she said: “I can’t believe we’re allowed to hug now! It’s been too long. I’ve missed you all so much.”

She also spoke about her struggles with tongue tie with Rose, and how – after she battled through it with son Rex – she was determined to find out if Rose had the same problem as soon as she could.
“Ultimately, I just think some people in the medical profession don’t want to recognise it because they then have to put budget towards it. But I feel like genuinely, if people have the opportunity to know their baby has tongue tie, they should,” she said.
Nadia then added: “It just breaks my heart how many people not even know.”

Fans were overjoyed to see Stacey back on the show and took to Twitter to share their excitement.
“Don’t normally watch #LooseWomen but it’s good to see @StaceySolomon back she’s glowing,” one wrote.
Whilst others praised her for raising awareness of tongue tie, writing: ” #LooseWomen my third daughter had a posterior tongue-tie at birth. Feeding was so painful. I knew about #tonguetie but had never heard of the posterior version. Mothers should be more supported to help with feeding. Thanks for raising awareness.”

“Yes, we would love… if all goes well.. because Covid’s still massive and you never know what’s around the corner, but we would love to get married in July next year, we really would. It will be so nice to have the boys and Rose there,” she said.
Admitting she was struggling to sleep, she added: “I’ve put a hell of a lot of make-up on for this interview and you can’t even see it, it sinks into my skin now. She sleeps, she sleeps like a new-born – they’re up all night really aren’t they? But she is good. She’s content, which is nice. She’s amazing, she’s really lovely. I can’t stop staring at her.”
