Ruth Langsford has let her hair down on a boozy night out with friends as they enjoyed cocktails and a meal in a Greek restaurant

Ruth Langsford has let her hair down and enjoyed a boozy night of laughter, cocktails and Greek food as she put her recent worries behind her with some quality time with friends.

The 64-year-old Loose Women presenter shared snaps from her Friday night out on her Instagram Stories, as she documented her time with friends Rachael Eleri and Liv Davey. Ruth has had a difficult few months as her marriage to Eamonn Holmes broke down but the TV presenter looked on top form in the photos as she celebrated drinking cocktails and posed with her pals.

The trio had spent time at Greek Mediterranean restaurant Gaia, in Mayfair, London, who Ruth tagged in the pics, and they looked like they were having a lot of fun as they posed for a photo while wearing black sunglasses with Ruth making a peace sign as she wore a glamorous white shirt and black trousers.

Another photo on Ruth’s Instagram Stories shows the three of them posing for a full-length mirror selfie before a snap of cocktail glasses showed that the night out had taken a boozy turn, with Ruth admitting in a caption: “Yes… cocktails were drunk!”

The big night out comes after Ruth made a triumphant return to ITV’s Loose Women after taking an extended break following the ending of her marriage in May. While she didn’t speak about her split from Eamonn, Ruth admitted that she “won’t do it again” when it came to whether she would take another similar break.

Back in March, a joint statement from both Eamonn and Ruth was released, which read: “Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes have confirmed their marriage is over and they are in the process of divorcing.” Eamonn has been suffering with health issues for some time and by her own admission, it was a testing time for them both. Ruth’s admission came before the announcement of their split surfaced.

She told Woman’s Weekly: “I don’t know how much Eamonn’s mobility will improve. We live in hope. does the physio, but there might have to be some acceptance that this might never be 100% right. With any care situation – and there are millions of carers in this country – it isn’t always easy. It’s testing but we manage as a family.” Ruth added: “I look at Eamonn, who’s had his health and back problems, and it makes you realise how important your health is.”

Ruth shares son Jack, 22, with Eamonn while he has three children Declan, 35, Rebecca, 32, and Niall, 30, from a previous marriage.
