Rod Stewart gave a very blunt reply when asked a question about MasterChef star Gregg Wallace this week
Rod Stewart has lashed out at Gregg Wallace for a second time.
It comes days after Rod first hit out at Gregg for ‘humiliating his wife’ Penny Lancaster on Celebrity MasterChef, calling him a “tubby, bald-headed, ill-mannered bully”.
Rod’s remarks come amid an investigation by the BBC into misconduct claims. Gregg, who was the host of MasterChef, has denied allegations of inappropriate sexual comments he is said to have made. Former Newsnight host Kirsty Wark is among many others who have accused Gregg of making inappropriate sexual comments.
On Thursday night, Rod, 79, was asked about 60-year-old Gregg during a night out at London’s Claridges.
Responding to a photographer who asked Rod whether he’d consider inviting Gregg to his for Christmas, the hitmaker replied with a brutal two-word jibe, saying, according to MailOnline: “What, yellow teeth!”
Seven days ago, Rod published some stern words aimed at Gregg on Instagram, writing: “Good riddance Wallace… You humiliated my wife when she was on the show, but you had that bit cut out didn’t you? You’re a tubby, bald-headed, ill-mannered bully. Karma got ya. Sir Rod Stewart.” Penny took part in Celebrity MasterChef in 2021 and reached the quarter final.

After the allegations against Gregg first became public, a statement from MasterChef’s production company, Banijay UK, was released that read: “This week the BBC received complaints from individuals in relation to historical allegations of misconduct while working with presenter Gregg Wallace on one of our shows. Whilst these complainants have not raised the allegations directly with our show producers or parent company Banijay UK, we feel that it is appropriate to conduct an immediate, external review to fully and impartially investigate.
“While this review is underway, Gregg Wallace will be stepping away from his role on MasterChef and is committed to fully cooperating throughout the process. Banijay UK’s duty of care to staff is always a priority and our expectations regarding behaviour are made clear to both cast and crew on all productions, with multiple ways of raising concerns, including anonymously, clearly promoted on set.”
It continued: “Whilst these are historical allegations, incidences brought to our attention where these expectations are not met, are thoroughly investigated and addressed appropriately.”
Gregg’s lawyers have strongly denied he engages in behaviour of a sexually harassing nature. Gregg insisted via his legal team: “It is entirely false that he engages in behaviour of a sexually harassing nature.”
On Wednesday, Gregg’s ghostwriter, Shannon Kyle, made accusations against the star when speaking to Victoria Derbyshire on NewsNight.
Elsewhere, Celebrity MasterChef winner Emma Kennedy then claimed that Gregg touched an assistant on the bum, sparking an instant reaction. Meanwhile, TV star Ulrika Jonsson, has claimed another female contestant heard Wallace make a ‘rape joke’ on MasterChef.
Then, on Tuesday, Gregg was accused of asking a British Sign Language interpreter to sign inappropriate phrases. An attendee at the BBC Good Food Show claimed Wallace asked the interpreter to sign “big boobs” and “sexy bum” at the NEC Arena in Birmingham in 2012.
“There was a British Sign Language interpreter there and he wandered over to her at one point and just said: ‘Do you have to sign everything I say?’ And she said yes, and then he just started saying, ‘big boobs’, ‘sexy bum’ – this sort of thing, in order to get her to sign it. It was like he could control her, I suppose,” the attendee claimed to the Guardian.
