Prince Harry ‘happy to busk’ in Meghan’s spotlight, expert claims
Prince Harry is “happy to bask” in Meghan Markle’s spotlight, an expert has claimed, which is unlike how his own father was with his late mother during their turbulent 15-year marriage.
Harry and Meghan, who stepped down as senior working royals in 2020, have just returned from a three-day visit to Nigeria – a trip that came from invitation from the Nigerian military.
During the visit, the couple attended events related to the Invictus Games, which Nigeria is hoping to host in the future.
Speaking about the couple’s visit on the latest episode of the Telegraph’s ‘The Daily T’, journalist Camilla Tominey said: “”[There are] slight shades of [King] Charles being overshadowed by Diana here [because] Charles wasn’t happy about that.”
“Whereas, Harry seems quite willing to bask in his wife’s spotlight”, she added.

As soon as the late Princess Diana joined the Royal Family, she captivated royal crowds in their millions and quickly became one of the most photographed people in the world.
From then on, the then-Prince Charles couldn’t help but feel overshadowed by her.
Praising the Sussexes, the Telegraph’s political editor Ben Riley-Smith said on the episode that Meghan and Harry “are good for the Royal Family”.
Pitting himself against Camilla, he added: “They do bring a different emotion, different style [and a] different connection with people that the other members of the Royal Family aren’t able to do, at such a time as well.

Meghan and Harry were in Nigeria for three days
“Obviously Catherine is not able to do all the duties [that] she would normally be doing, and the King has also been not able to do all the duties he wants to do.
“Surely it’s about ‘and’ [and] not about ‘either/or’, I think that, I sense there’s a frustration that they can’t just come together and use all the members of the Royal Family to get to different audiences and show different faces around the world.”
During their visit, Meghan and Harry attended events related to the Invictus Games and were welcomed at the Lagos State Government House.
The couple were also greeted by military officials at the Defence Headquarters in Abuja.

Charles is said to have struggled with Diana taking most of the spotlight during their marriage
As the pair headed back to the US on May 13, Meghan and Harry geared up to reunite with their two children – Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, two.
Whilst the Sussexes were in Nigeria, Meghan’s mum Doria Ragland was thought to be looking after her grandchildren, as reported by the Mail.
During a visit on Sunday – that coincided with Mother’s Day in America – Meghan admitted that they were “missing” their children.
