Loose Women star Penny Lancaster is set to make her return to the ITV panel show on Thursday, it has been confirmed as host Coleen Nolan announced the news

Loose Women’s beloved Penny Lancaster is set to return to the ITV panel once more this week.

The show’s anchor, Coleen Nolan, excitedly announced that the television personality will be returning to screens on Thursday.

Wrapping up Wednesday’s episode, Coleen revealed: “That’s it for today everyone, join us tomorrow, Penny Lancaster returns to the panel and former Strictly pro Pasha Kovalev joins us to remember his friend and fellow dancer Robin Windsor.”

Since her first appearance in 2014, Lancaster has been a staple on the daytime programme, although her presence has dwindled over recent years due to other professional pursuits and personal responsibilities. A source told Daily Mail: “It is obvious that Penny is no longer a regular panellist. This is purely due to other professional and personal commitments.”

“Penny loves the show; and LW loves Penny. But such appearances as she is able to make in the future will be as a guest,” reports the Express.

The last time fans saw the model on Loose Women was earlier this year when she opened up about her new role as a special police constable. Despite not being a fixture on the show lately, the 53 year old has kept herself busy as she shared a recent Instagram post with her with hubby Rod Stewart and family.

She captioned the sweet snap: “Another amazing family holiday together (a few were sadly missed) in the med. Bonding, healing, love and laughter.”

Penny’s not the only Loose Women favourite making a comeback this week, as another beloved face took their spot back at the table. As Monday’s show got underway, fans were delighted to see Ruth Langsford reclaiming her spot as one of the main hosts.

Ruth had been noticeably absent from the ITV daytime hit following the announcement of her split from Eamonn Holmes, her husband of 14 years.

Overjoyed by Ruth’s return, Coleen couldn’t resist interrupting the show to express her delight: “Can I just say? I am so happy that you’re back!”
