Meghan and Harry ‘can’t go to Australia’ during world tour for one reason, claims expert

The famous couple made waves with their ‘unofficial tour’ to Nigeria. However Meghan and Harry could hit a stumbling block in Australia where they ‘can’t go’ on this occassion

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry ‘can’t go to Australia’ during world tour – despite the huge ‘success’ of their Nigeria trip.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who quit as senior royals in 2020, have now come up with a hurdle in terms of a rumoured visit to Australia. Royal reporter Louise Roberts believes Harry and Meghan are prepared to embark on a ‘ world tour’ after the successful Nigeria visit. However, she criticised the couple for their previous claims of wanting ‘privacy’.

She told Sky News Australia: “In May, after Nigeria, and that was a successful faux royal tour for them, let’s face it, Harry made the comment they want to do more of this.” Speaking on the channel’s Royal Report, Louise added: “(Harry and Meghan) are obsessed with privacy but a world tour is a direct contradiction.”

The journalist also shared the Sussexes are ‘unable to travel to Australia’ in the near future because an unofficial visit could clash with King Charles and Queen Camilla’s upcoming tour of the country in October. She said: “They can’t go where Charles and Camilla will go – they can’t go to Australia.”

Meanwhile Meghan and Harry have given fans a glimpse of what happened behind-the-scenes of their Nigeria visit. In a stunning moment, Meghan came over all emotional when she was presented a very special gift for Archie and Lilibet.

She had earlier said how much she missed not being with them for Mother’s Day so it was even more poignant. During their high-profile visit to the African continent, we can reveal the Duchess of Sussex was left speechless by a gesture from young Grace Busari, 13.

Meghan was overwhelmed when she was presented a pair of stunning hand-stitched teddy bears from 13-year-old Grace, daughter of CNN Nigeria Bureau chief and Senior Editor invited to join Meghan and Harry on their visit.

The cuddly toys from Grace’s line @graceteddies, made from traditional African print material, almost reduced Meghan to tears as she grabbed Stephanie, Grace’s proud mum for a hug. Stephanie, who was part of the Women in Business conference Meghan attended, opened up about the groundbreaking trip.

She said: “Wow! That was the weekend that was! Flying to Abuja to cover the Duke and Duchess of Sussex visit, I truly didn’t know what to expect. I was very pleasantly surprised. They are fun, caring, loved up, compassionate, total naturals with a crowd. To see Harry sitting on the floor to play volleyball with disabled servicemen was something and he showed such compassion too during his hospital visit to Kaduna.

“It was a private visit but looked like a royal tour in all but name! So happy that Harry and Meghan visited Nigeria to shine a spotlight on the injured servicemen and women, Invictus Games and mental health — and to dispel a few myths about Nigeria being a dangerous place! Also wonderful to see Meghan celebrated and welcomed as per Naija girl! Welcome Omowale Ada Mazi Adetokunbo Amira. (Just a few of the names she has received while here!)”
