Love Island star Maura Higgins has been rumoured to be taking part in this year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! yet has been spotted flying to a different country with Stacey Solomon

Maura Higgins has confused her fans as she jetted off with Stacey Solomon rather than heading to the I’m A Celebrity jungle.

The Love Island star, 33, is tipped to be taking part in this year’s series of the hit ITV show. Earlier this week the official lineup for this year’s show was revealed, with Maura absent from the list of celebrities taking part. However, she is rumoured to be a late arrival to the Australian jungle camp along with author Reverend Richard Coles.

Fans have already expressed their excitement to see her tackle the famous Bushtucker Trials, yet have become concerned she may have changed her mind. Maura teased her followers with a post this evening as she shared a photo of her boarding a plane. Many thought she was finally heading Down Under to prepare for the show.

Maura even added more speculation as she posted a box on her Instagram Story that asked: “Where to?!” Her followers were able to submit their guesses to where she was heading. Shortly after her post, Loose Women star Stacey Solomon took to her own account where she posted a snap from a plane.

Both Stacey and Maura’s followers were stunned to see the Love Island beauty alongside her. Alongside her post Stacey revealed: “Off on an adventure of a lifetime. Viva Las Vegas here I come. I honestly can’t actually believe I’m doing this. I feel wild for me anyway! Adele, vegas, canyons, the girls I can’t believe it. This truly has been the f**k it year! Wish me luck. Any vegas must-dos let me know. Feeling so grateful! Thank you @spacenk for this incredible opportunity. Love you guys so much.”

Maura appears to be on the trip with Stacey as her followers believe she may not be heading to the jungle. One said: “This confirms Maura won’t be the extra in the jungle.” Another added: “I guess @maurahiggins isn’t going to the jungle then,” alongside heartbreak emojis.

It has been reported Maura and Richard Coles would be jetting out later in order to keep their appearances under wraps. This week, Maura seemed to have been preparing herself for the stint as she treated herself to a handful of vapes. She appeared in high spirits as she clutched three packets of vapes while leaving her manager’s office.

The TV star also showed off her glowing tan and went make-up free for the outing. Maura had been wanting to spend time with those close to her as she was seen out with Pete Wicks on Monday. Maura and Strictly Come Dancing star Pete, 36, enjoyed a glam date night in London ahead of her departure. It came after the pair finally confirmed their romance after months of secret kisses and swanky dates.
