Loose Women star Ruth Langsford was left in tears as she refused to apologise for a rude joke made by panellist Judi Love on Monday’s episode of the ITV show

Loose Women star Ruth Langsford refused to apologise on Monday’s show as she was left crying over a rude joke.

The presenter, 63, appeared on the popular ITV show alongside Judi Love, Janet Street-Porter and Brenda Edwards to discuss the latest gossip and current affairs.

Yet Ruth struggled to carry on hosting Monday’s show after a rude joke from panellist Judi.

The comedian, 42, discussed her apperance at the BAFTA TV Awards that took place on Sunday night.

Judi stunned in a yellow off the shoulder gown, which featured a thigh high slit.

Despite looking gorgeous at the event, Judi revealed the difficulties of getting there as she admitted her dress was “tight”.

Co-star Janet asked: “How did you get in and out of the cab?”

“I just had to put one leg out because the paps were there ready to see the Blackpool tunnel and I was like…,” Judi remarked.

The audience and panel erupted with laughter as they were stunned by Judi’s joke.

Janet gave her a high five before she pointed out: “Ruth can’t speak.”

Ruth had to turn her back to camera as she was seen holding her head in hand and wiped away tears.

“I did side leg, side leg, acted like I was on Bridgerton, side leg side leg and then came out,” Judi finally answered Janet’s question.

Ruth continued to wipe away her tears as she said: “Am I supposed to apologise? I am not going to.

“I have to say we have to go to our second guest of the day. He would be laughing at that if he was listening.”

She then introduced Phil but struggled to read the auto-cue as she quipped: “I can’t see now Judi!”

I’m A Celebrity’s Phil Turnell joined from Malaga as a guest on the show.

He was seen wiping a tear and also made a joke: “I go through the Blackpool tunnel every morning!”

The panel lost it once more as they were left in fits of laughter.

“This is just degenerating,” Ruth admitted as she tried to regain control of the show.

Viewers at home were also left laughing as one person wrote: “Omg Judi [followed by laughing emojis].”

“What did I miss? All hysterical,” asked someone who had just tuned in.

However one person commented: “It really wasn’t that funny was it?,” to which someone replied: “I think its funny cos its shocking lol.”

Ruth, who used to host This Morning alongside husband Eamonn Holmes, greeted Phil, 61, and Holly Willoughby before telling viewers what the Loose Women were set to discuss today.

But as she said goodbye, some claimed Ruth looked “smug”.

One wrote: “Ruth looking rather smug….and rightly so, she knew all along! #ThisMorning”.

Another added: “Ruth moving on swiftly with that rictus grin on her face” and a third penned: “Ruth’s eye speak a million words #ThisMorning”.

It comes after Phil and Holly, 42, are said to be locked in a feud, with reports their friendship has cooled in recent months.

Despite rumours of ongoing tension, Phillip has decided to “tough it out” but fans are still speculating over the presenter’s future.
