Loose Women’s Janet Street-Porter wants Liz Truss gone today and replaced by ‘boring’ PM

Things got political on Loose Women earlier today, as Janet Street-Porter sensationally slammed Prime Minister Liz Truss before Birds of a Feather actress Linda Robson once again sparked outrage as she defended Boris Johnson

The Prime Minister’s recent apology isn’t good enough for Janet Street-Porter.

On today’s edition of Loose Women, Janet took aim at Liz Truss following the under-fire Conservative Party leader finally saying sorry to furious Tory MPs on Monday, as Jeremy Hunt urged furious MPs to “give her a chance” and said he believed she would still be Prime Minister at Christmas.

Joining Ruth Langsford, Coleen Nolan and Linda Robson, Janet discussed the recent reports regarding the government and Truss – blasting the Prime Minister’s ‘feeble’ apology and calling for her to be ousted from her position by the end of the day and replaced by ‘someone boring’.

It all kicked off on today’s instalment of Loose Women, with Linda and Coleen clashing during a heated debate about Boris Johnson and Strictly Come Dancing judge Anton Du Beke slamming the unknown mole responsible for ruining the BBC show for viewers by leaking the pre-recorded exit results.

“She said sorry but is sorry enough?” Janet asked when discussing Truss’ recent apology to Tory MP over U-turns and her leadership in general.

“Not for me I’m afraid, I think it was pretty feeble,” she continued, “She looked like a schoolgirl who had been called to the headmaster’s study and given an extra detention.”

Janet went on to declare: “She should go. She should go by the end of the day – It would make my day.”

“I want someone running the country that is boring,” she added, seemingly referring to the scandals attached to the Prime Minister, before stating: “Without an economic plan, we’re going down the dumper and frankly, I blame Liz Truss.”

As the conversation developed to look back on Truss’ predecessor Johnson, Linda sparked outrage online thanks to once again backing the former prime minister.

“I always get slaughtered online [when I support Johnson] but I do,” Linda admitted on the ITV show.

“Oh, be quiet,” Coleen told Linda as the actress gushed about Johnson on the latest edition of Loose Women.

Coleen and Linda’s heated debate was sparked following the Prime Minister reportedly finally sorry to Tory MPs – three days after her bizarre nine-minute press conference where she failed to apologise, according to No10.

The Prime Minister’s remarks came as Jeremy Hunt urged furious MPs to “give her a chance” and said he believed she would still be Prime Minister at Christmas.
