Loose Women’s Jane Moore announces split from husband of 20 years live on air

Loose Women star Jane Moore revealed she’s separating from her ‘best friend’, husband Gary Farrow, who she tied the knot with 2002, after more than 20 years of marriage live on Wednesday’s show

Loose Women’s Jane Moore said her husband is still her ‘best friend’ as she announced their separation live on the ITV lunchtime show.

The panellist, 60, married her husband Gary Farrow in 2002 and the two are parents to daughters Ellie and Grace. Jane is also step-mother to Gary’s elder daughter Lauren.

But now, 20 years later, the TV star has revealed that she and Gary have decided to go their separate ways after more than twenty years together.

Jane said the pair decided to split a year ago but held off proceedings after Gary broke his leg.

The mum said they have decided to stay together for one last Christmas and will officially move on in the new year.

Speaking on Wednesday’s Loose Women, Jane revealed: “So Gary and I are separating. But it’s weird that it’s out there [in public] because we’ve been processing it for about a year.

“We’re both quite private people. We had discussed it last year… it was going to happen last year.

“And then he fell and broke his leg and, no, I didn’t push him,” Jane joked.

“Just want to put that out there,” she added. “He fell and broke his leg. And obviously, then all bets are off.

“So we were sort of we’re still in the same house together. We’re still going to do Christmas together.”

Jane added that her entire family knows about the split and things were ‘amicable’.

“I have been sort of caring for him in that sense of the word,” she continued.

“It’s enabled us to sort of segue to process it first of all, and to sort of segue nicely into a really good friendship.

“I mean, I would always say, he is my best friend. I hope if he was sitting here he would say, I’m his best friend, and I’m just very, very keen that we don’t lose that element of it, you know, so, yeah, so we’re still living together.

“We’re still doing Christmas together and then in the new year, we’ll sell up. We’ll buy our own houses, hopefully, you know, near each other.”

When the two got married, Gary almost missed the wedding after being thrown behind bars hours before the ceremony.

Gary was still in his cell just hours before tying the knot and pleaded with officers to let him go.

The top PR boss was eventually released, but Jane remained none the wiser until he revealed what had happened halfway through the day’s celebrations.

Revealing all about the day’s mishaps, Jane previously discussed the ordeal openly on Loose Women.

“I would have had pre-wedding wobbles if I had known what was going to happen,” she said. “So we got married and then between getting married and heading to the reception, Gary informed me that the night before…he’d been arrested and thrown in a police cell.”
