TV icon Densie Welch shared details of her ‘life-changing’ surgery on ITV’s Loose Women as she admitted the procedure is freaking her out following the incredible results
Loose Women star Denise Welch recently went under the knife for “life changing surgery” as she confessed she’s “sick of wearing glasses all the time”.
The 66-year-old appeared on the hit ITV show alongside her fellow co-stars Kaye Adams, Myleene Klass and Nadia Sawalha to discuss a number of topics. But before the show got underway, Denise gave details of her lens replacement surgery.
Speaking openly, the star said she grew tired of wearing her famous black framed glasses and often struggled to keep them clean. She said: “I’ve had lens replacement surgery and I can honestly say, it’s freaking me out a bit!”
“Normally the audience is a blur to me from here unless I put my glasses on. I can see the autocue,” she added: “It’s unbelievable!”

Sharing details of the procedure and how her medics treated her, she added: “He talked me through it, he told me if I was losing an eyelash because he said back in the day they’d cut off all your eye lashes off and shave your eyebrows because of infection. So I can’t wear eye makeup for two weeks. But as I say, if you’re thinking of having it, have it.”
As she concluded her sentence, Denise strangely said: “Eww, sorry!” Following her reaction Kaye then warned the audience to be careful as Denise can now see everyone clearly now.

Loose Women star Denise, hit news headlines this week after she revealed that she was a victim of fraud. The former Corrie actress appeared on Good Morning Britain to share how she was scammed after she accidentally gave her bank details to con artists.
Explaining her ordeal on how she believed she was talking to her bank on the phone, she said: “I went out, took the phone call and they said, it’s the fraud squad. They said there was some fraudulent activity going on with your card, and we want to put a stop to it.

“And I had absolutely zero doubt that I was talking to the fraud department from my bank because it had come up under the headline of Barclays that I had put into my phone.” She then explained she gave the caller sensitive information – even the pin to access her bank card.
She added: “Now, even I know that you don’t give your pin away, but because I was talking to the fraud department at Barclays, I did. And the next day, I mentioned this to my husband, who went absolutely spare.”
