Loose Women aired an ‘incredible and emotional’ tribute to the late music mogul Jamal Edwards on Monday, as the show’s stars praised grieving mother Brenda, who they revealed was watching at home
The stars of Loose Women have been praised for an “incredible and emotional” tribute to Jamal Edwards on ITV today.
The five panellists – Charlene White, Judi Love, Linda Robson, Carol McGiffin and Frankie Bridge – joined the lunchtime show on Monday to pay tribute to SB.TV founder Jamal, who died at the age of 31 after a sudden illness.
Jamal appeared on the show as recently as November 2021 with his mum, regular Loose Women panellist Brenda Edwards.
Charlene and Judi led the tributes today to Jamal, which included a heartbreaking segment about his wonderful life as well as a tribute to his mum Brenda. They also gave their own tributes to the music mogul.

Fans of the ITV show took to social media to praise the Loose Women for their “superb tribute” to the late star.
“@brenda_edwards @loosewomen @CharleneWhite @1Judilove thanks #LooseWomen for the episode when Jamal joined Brenda making a different audience aware of his work. We saw Brenda’s pride. Thinking of her. Many of us wouldn’t appreciate what a loss this is without that episode #RIPJamal,” one wrote.
A second added: “Sobbing. You did a great job today @loosewomen. So hard for you all. Thinking of you Brenda. #LooseWomen.”
“Thank you #loosewomen for showing the humanity in grief and for honouring Brenda in the sad loss of her beloved Jamal,” a third shared, as a fourth wrote: “What an incredible show today. Inspirational and emotional .. RIP Jamal #LooseWomen.”

Another added: ” #loosewomen has me in bits today. Such a moving moment to have a clip of @brenda_edwards singing at the end. RIP @jamaledwards. Achieved so much but gone way too soon. Well done to all for a wonderful tribute show today.”
During the show, host Charlene admitted she was upset that Brenda wasn’t able to share the news her way, as she said: “The opportunity to share Brenda’s loss and the family’s loss, that was taken away from Brenda because of various people on social media who decided to tell Brenda’s story and to tell Jamal’s story without consulting Brenda, which was not fair in any shape of form.”
Meanwhile, Linda Robson also revealed Jamal took her son under his wing and helped him fulfil his music dreams.
