Loose Women celebrated their 25th anniversary by attended their first ever prom live on air – including the bizarre appearance of lookalikes on the iconic ITV set

Loose Women was thrown into total chaos as the panellist ditched their usual set and hosted their first ever prom.

During Thursday’s episode of the ITV hit daytime show, viewers watching at home and the live studio audience were joined by Coleen Nolan, Frankie Bridge, Katie Piper and Brenda Edwards.

To celebrate the show’s 25th anniversary, the panellists revealed that they are taking over the Loose Women set with balloons as well as going all out with their glam and ball gowns.

To surprise viewers, the stars started the show in what looked like a limo. Coleen started off by saying: ”We are off to our first Loose Women prom and what a great way to mark our 25th anniversary.”

Brenda jumped in and asked: “I’m excited but a bit nervous because who is gonna be prom queen.” Katie revealed: “Oh come on we are all going to be prom queens in this fabulous limo.”

Frankie shouted: “Come on driver, put your foot down I’m starting to get a little bit car sick.” Coleen confirmed: “It’s ok we are there. Let’s go.”

The camera then cut to the studio, where the TV stars were greeted by a loud applause as they walked in wearing their prom dresses.

Introducing the show, Coleen said: “Hello and welcome to the show and as you can see you’ve been invited to the first ever Loose Women prom. We have put on our gladrags for this very special event.”

Teasing what viewers can expect from the rest of the show, she added: “Coming up on this special show we are looking back on our school days but don’t be fooled by those cute faces and no prom is complete without a date, Brenda and I will be joined by super star visitor at the end of the show and we have no idea who they are.”

At the end of the show, Katie revealed that she knows the identity of Coleen and Brenda’s mystery dates but before bringing them out she admitted that she couldn’t quite get the “real thing”.

Coleen was nervous as she said: “I’ve got hot flushes and I don’t think it’s the menopause. I feel like I’m 16 again.” Turning to Brenda she asked: “Are you nervous, do you know who it is?”

ITV)Brenda confirmed: “No, I’ve been trying to find out who they have got.” Katie revealed that they have got them a ‘George Clooney’ and ‘David Beckham’ lookalike.

She said: “I actually know who it is and no prom is complete without a date. Please welcome your prom dates George Cloneie and David Beckhem.” Everyone burst out laughing as Coleen and Brenda run to hug their dates.
