Birds of a Feather actress Linda Robson is keen to host an episode of Loose Women one day but ITV bosses have a very good reason why they won’t allow her to lead the way on the panel show

Linda Robson has revealed the hilarious reason why she never anchors an installment of Loose Women.

The Birds of a Feather actress, 65, has been a weekly panellist on the ITV show since 2012 but has never had the honour of being in charge of the often heated debates and discussions.

Linda, who recently broke her silence on her ‘marriage crisis’, admits she once asked if she could anchor an episode but was rebuffed by the show’s bosses!

“It’s like going to work with your mates every day, and we’re all very supportive of each other,” Linda gushed when discussing the daytime TV programme.

She then revealed: “I did ask once if I could be the anchor on Loose Women. They said, ‘Are you joking? You’ll end up swearing or something. No you can’t’.”

Linda was left mortified early this year, as the actress accidentally swore live on Loose Women during a heated road rage debate.

Back in January, Linda admitted she often uses her car’s horn out of frustration from rude drivers who cut in front of her on the roads.

As Linda admitted she was “a honker”, her fellow panellist Janet Street Porter asked: “Do you get the finger out the window as well?”

“Yeah I do that and all, middle finger” Linda confessed before she flipped off the audience in the studio live on air.

A shocked Janet gasped: “I didn’t ask you to demonstrate it! We all know [what it is]!”

Jane Moore, who was hosting proceedings, quickly reassured viewers and explained: “That will be pixilated on capture.”

Away from Loose Women, Linda recently opened up about speculation concerning her marriage.

The actress has been married to husband Mark Dunford for 33 years and, amid claims that the pair’s relationship is in crisis, Linda has put the rumours to bed – insisting that she and Mark are happier than ever.

Outspoken Linda, who shares three children with Mark, was blindsided when rumours spread last year that she and her husband were ‘on the rocks’.

Rumours spread after Linda jetted off on holiday to Spain without her other half, but the Loose Women star has now dubbed the claims as ‘rubbish’.
