Linda Robson has finally dished the dirt on a Birds of a Feather reunion happening following long-running reports she and Pauline Quirke had a “feud”.But sadly for fans, it’s not good news as the Loose Women panellist has confirmed it won’t be happening any time soon. It comes amid claims of a feud between the actress and her long-time friend and co-star Pauline Quirke were embroiled in a feud. However, she appears to have silenced this and insisted that both she and Pauline are still the best of friends and often hang out with their co-star, Lesley Joseph.
In a new interview, Linda, 66, has opened up about why there won’t be an on-screen reunion for the trio any time soon. Birds of a Feather aired on ITV in 1989 before the last episode of the sitcom aired in 2020 as part of a Christmas special. Prior to the two Christmas episodes, the sitcom was taken off air in 1998 before returning in 2014.

We have so much history together, me and Pauline have been best friends since we were 10 years old. Lesley I’ve known since the first series of Birds of a Feather. Pauline doesn’t like all the social events but me and Lesley love that. Pauline hates live TV as well, she’ll only ever come on Loose Women if I am on there because she feels safe then.”
Linda went on to reveal that Pauline also wasn’t keen on the live Birds of a Feather tour and often became anxious about performing. Nowadays, she channels her energy into her two grandchildren, as well as her acting academies. But Linda has never shied away from sharing her feelings on Pauline’s decision to not return to the sitcom which often raked in millions of viewers per episode.
“I’m not going to lie and say Lesley and I weren’t disappointed,” she previously said, adding: “Of course we were. We were gutted and we couldn’t imagine going on without her. We were a trio – how could it possibly work without any one of us? But at the same time as all that sadness, there was acceptance and understanding, too.”
Pauline allegedly told Lesley and Linda that she no longer wanted to be an actress and was “done with it” but insisted that the pair carry on without her. Despite allegations of a feud, Linda is steadfast that the trio remain the best of friends and she often shares snaps on social media with Lesley and Pauline.
