Loose Women panelist Linda Robson has lifted the lid on her thoughts about having cosmetic procedures done, insisting that the lip filler trend is ‘dreadful’

Linda Robson has revealed that she has banned her daughters from ever undergoing cosmetic surgery or procedures.

The Loose Women star, 64, shared her distaste for lip fillers during Tuesday’s instalment of the ITV panel show as the loose ladies got to grips with how the trend of changing ones appearance has become so normalised in today’s society with the use of Botox and fillers.

Discussing whether or not they would announce if they had work done if they ever go under the knife, Linda insisted that even if she wanted to splurge some cash on anti-wrinkle injections or fillers she wouldn’t be able to go through with it, because it would be setting a bad example for her girls.

Linda, who is proud mum to daughters Lauren, 39, and Roberta, 26, said that she was proud of her girls for never choosing to alter their looks with the use of Botox or fillers – insisting that it’s difficult to say no to beauty enhancements amid the impossible beauty standards of today.

Sharing her thoughts on the trend of lip fillers, Linda told her fellow panellist Coleen Nolan: “I do think it’s up to the individual. But I’ve got a girl who comes around to mine and does my lashes for me. Sometimes she would offer to give me Botox while she’s there, and I thought about it for a minute.”

“But then I thought, ‘if I have Botox, then my girls – who talk about having their lips done all the time – would get it done’. Because I couldn’t stop them from doing anything to their faces if I had done something to mine,” she added.

“The lip fillers though, I find them absolutely dreadful, I really do. I see so many young girls who are 16 and 17 and they have their lips done and it looks absolutely ridiculous. These are beautiful girls, who don’t need these fillers,” Linda continued.

Following her revelation, Loose Women viewers flocked to Twitter to share their thoughts.

“I couldn’t agree more with Linda. Every single young woman looks the same now. They all have huge lips and huge eyelashes. There’s no individuality,” one complained.

A third disagreed: “I don’t think it’s right to paint every woman with the same brush. Some women have these procedures to fix their self-esteem, not just because it’s a trend. And not all lip filler procedures have to make them ‘huge’.
