ITV’s Loose Women star Kaye Adams forced to apologise as Linda Robson swears on live TV

ITV’s Loose Women presenter Kaye Adams was forced to apologise to viewers after Linda Robson swore on live TV as she tried to explain that she is not confident in taking red carpet pictures

Loose Women panelist Kaye Adams was forced to apologise to viewers after Linda Robson swore on live TV as she tried to explain how she doesn’t take herself seriously when taking red-carpet pictures.

The 65 year old star, who became a household name when she starred in the comedy Birds Of A Feather, was explaining to the audience there are specific poses to master when having your picture taken on the red carpet. She told fans that you have to pose with your head forward and to not look down “otherwise you get a double chin.” She then continued to say: “I just go like that.”

And just moments later she flipped the bird – holding her middle finger up in a swearing hand gesture – and said: “I just try and make it a joke because I don’t know what else to do.” Within seconds, Kaye stepped in and spoke to the camera to apologise to viewers who may have found Linda’s gesture offensive.

She told fans: “Can I just say, some people might find that gesture offensive and so we apologise.” To hide her embarrassment, Linda laughed off the situation while Kaye swiftly moved on.

The Scottish TV presenter then attributed Linda’s inability to take a posed photograph, down to her carrying a pair of flip-flops under her arm in a plastic bag. Kaye added: “So that kind of spoils the whole vibe a wee bit doesn’t it?” But Linda claimed “normally I get someone to hold it for me when I’m doing the red carpet.” This however, is not the first time that Linda has let a rude word slip while on the live ITV daytime show.

Last month, Linda’s blunder came during a segment of the show where she was giving away a rather large cash prize, dressed as an old woman and named Nanny Linda. But, as she wheeled out the £1million cash prize to introduce the competition, she accidentally dropped the F-word live on air. And host Charlene White had to step in and apologise. She said: “I would like to apologise for Linda’s language.” But presenter Brenda Edwards, who always tries to maintain her composure, was still left in shock as she held her hand to her mouth for a few seconds.

Usually, viewers pen their disapproval on social media but it looks as though the much loved star of the ITV daytime show, 65, instead made viewers chuckle. One wrote on Twitter: “Another cracker of a show today on @loosewomen. Always great when Jane McDonald makes an appearance, Linda Robson swearing with @RealDeniseWelch almost caught out.” Another commented: “Linda robson swearing on loose women has just made my day.” And a third took to the social media platform and said: “Haha!!! Linda Robson dropping the F-BOMB live on air!”
