Loose Women had Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak, on Thursday’s show where panellist Janet Street-Porter issued a seven-word warning before giving a tense grilling about pensioners

Loose Women’s Janet Street-Porter issued a seven-word warning to Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak, on Thursday’s show.

During the latest instalment, the Prime Minister, 44, joined the panel as he was asked a series of questions by panellists Kaye Adams, Janet, 77, Judi Love and Jane Moore.

At the start of the chat, host Kaye, 61, said: “Welcome, welcome, you’ve got your own mug and everything!” to which the Prime Minister responded: “I’m very excited about this mug, my office were asking about the mug before I came, they’re going to be particularly happy!”

Asked if he was a fan of Loose Women, the Prime Minister said: “I’ll be totally honest…” before adding: “I’ve done a lot of things in this job but being here is probably on the more intimidating end of things I’ve had to do.”

Janet then said: “You were quite smiley earlier, weren’t you?”, she then jokingly issued a seven-word warning, saying: “Will you be smiley in five minutes?” to which the Prime Minister quipped: “What have you got? It depends what you’ve got written there!” with Kaye adding: “Don’t you worry, Janet will look after you!”

Later in the show, Janet took aim at the Prime Minister as she asked: “Why do you hate pensioners?” to which the audience erupted into cheers. Janet said: “Let me ask you something, just moving it slightly on to my generation, pensioners, I want to ask you a very simple question.

“I think you’re a decent man, I do think you work really hard, hat’s off to you for that, I do think your heart’s in the right place but why do you hate pensioners?” Janet added: “That is the only conclusion I can come to as a result of the spring budget.”

Taking to Twitter, now X, viewers were quick to react to Janet grilling the Prime Minister. One person said: ‘There’s only going to be one winner between Rishi Sunak and Janet Street-Porter….#loosewomen”, a different account put: “You tell him Janet!! #loosewomen”, another wrote: “Janet Street-Porter to Rishi Sunak: “Why do you hate pensioners?” #loosewomen” while a different account added: “Loving Janet Street Porter on #LooseWomen. Tell him.”

It comes as the Prime Minister appeared on This Morning earlier this year, where he was quizzed by host Rylan Clark at the time.
