Loose Women panellist, Nadia Sawalha, has taken to social media to question the Chelsea Flower Show organisers over why she has never been invited back to the event
Loose Women’s Nadia Sawalha has hit out at the Chelsea Flower Show on Instagram, as she demanded to know why she hadn’t been invited back.
The gardening show takes place every year on the grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea in London. It attracts visitors from across the globe every year, and is often visited by the Royals, including King Charles and Queen Camilla who were there on Monday, 20 May.
However, it doesn’t look like Loose Women star Nadia, 59, will be appearing at this year’s event, which starts officially on Tuesday, 21, May, as she took to Instagram to directly ask the organisers why, after being invited years ago, she has never been asked to go again.
In a video posted to her Instagram grid, Nadia joked: “This is a serious question, to the Chelsea Flower Show. What have I done to p*** you off? I got invited one year, came with my mum, it was lovely.

“I had the cake and just one glass of champagne. I took photos… and my mum and my mother-in-law ask me every year whether we can go again. And I haven’t been able to tell them that whenever I do ask you always say no. I just have to pretend every year that I’ve forgotten to ask.”
Nadia continued: “What have I actually done? I’ve seen that everyone was there again today. I’ve got a nice garden, we’ve got a gardening show on our YouTube channel. I do a lot on social media. I know I’m a Z list celebrity but who have I p***** off? Is it cos I’m from south London? Is it because I’m a bit common?”
Nadia captioned her post, tagging the Chelsea Flower Show and saying: “Just be straight, I can take it.” She then questioned: “Seriously why am I not on the list? I don’t usually go to anything that demands shapewear and high heels! I HATE ‘events’ but it’s the ONLY thing my mum and mum in law ever ask me about.”
Her fans were quick to comment on the post, with one writing: “Maybe you’re too “real” right now,” while others suggested she should just buy her own ticket to the show. Nadia responded to this, clarifying her point: “Heh guys! OF course I would buy a ticket but you can’t for the celeb day! MY mum is 87 and can’t manage the crowds.”
One celebrity who did receive an invite to the Chelsea Flower Show was Britain’s Got Talent judge, Amanda Holden. She looked stunning in a floral pink skirt and top with a matching jacket, smiling alongside her mum, Judith.
