BBC Radio One presenter Dean McCullough has kicked off an I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! camp feud after angering co-star Tulisa following her strict warning
Dean McCullough has angered one of his I’m A Celebrity campmates and not due to his trial failures.
The BBC Radio 1 presenter is competing in this year’s series of the hit ITV show and has been put up for the majority of the trials so far. He has met them with varying degrees of success, having even quit by calling out the famous ‘ I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!’ line.
Dean’s campmates have been struggling on a diet of rice and beans for days due to his lack of stars. On Monday night, the camp lightened up as they celebrated Love Island star Maura Higgins’ birthday. However, one camp member wasn’t best pleased with Dean’s antics after giving him a stern warning
N-Dubz singer Tulisa decided to sleep in, yet Dean had other plans. Dean said: “Now that she’s out of the Leaders’ Lodge, Tulisa has warned me that there must be no musical theatre early in the morning, so I made it my mission to make sure the camp woke up this morning with the sound of lovely singing!”

Viewers have expressed their frustration at Dean constantly being picked to do the trials in the public vote. Some have even proposed a major change to the show. One said: “They need to change how the voting works so say if you do trial 1 you can’t be voted for trial 2 and then they can be voted again on trial 3 so we are not just seeing the same person everyday.”
Another added: “I don’t get it because it’s not even really entertaining? Like seeing someone scream because they have to stick their arm in a barrel of fish guts is boring after 2 trials.” Someone else commented: “I would try a ‘no two trials in a row’ rule for at least one year. You can always revert it if people aren’t keen.”
Host Ant has also begged viewers to stop voting for Dean to give other celebrities a chance to take part in the show. During Sunday night’s spin-off show, Ant said: “Well, right. Let’s all have a serious talk. I’m going to look directly into the camera here. I think it’s good to see other faces down there. This is not a personal thing. It’s not about Dean. It’s about us, just seeing different people down there.
“I think we want to see different people on the show doing [trials]. Some people are, unfortunately, aren’t getting… I’d like to see Barry do a trial. I’d like to see Melvin down there. Or Oti.” Last year’s King of the Jungle, Sam Thompson suggested fans should vote for their own favourites to take part. I’m A Celebrity presenter Declan Donnelly added: “We need to mobilise armies of McFly fans, Corrie fans (to vote).”
