Daytime TV was shaken up over on ITV this week as the broadcaster scrapped Loose Women in favour of its Lunchtime News and the Euros 2024. But when will the talk show return?

ITV is sticking to major schedule changes this Thursday as Loose Women will not be returning to our screens before some time has passed.

On Wednesday, June 19, viewers at home were surprised when they were reminded that the daytime talk show would not be airing during its usual 12.30pm slot, after Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard’s This Morning.

While they may have hoped for a reprieve, this Thursday’s schedule (June 20) will be no different as the Loose Women panel will not return to our screens.

Once again, the program will be replaced by ITV’s Lunchtime News and London News after This Morning. Viewers will then be able to catch up with all the Euros 2024 coverage from 1pm.

This Thursday, the Three Lions will be back on the field in Germany as they go head to head against Denmark from 5pm. Later on, Spain will then confront Italy, the defending champions after their victory at the Euros 2021, from 8pm.

However, viewers won’t have to wait long before the Loose Women stars head back to our screens as the show is due to reprise its usual slot this Friday (June 21), airing at 12.30pm, before being followed ITV’s live coverage of the Royal Ascot, which has also been included into the TV landscape in recent days.

Changes have also affected both the BBC and ITV’s soap schedule. While EastEnders has moved over to BBC Two, Emmerdale and Coronation Street have been subjected to frequent cancellations, leaving fans to rage over on X, otherwise known as Twitter.

Soap fans eager to take a trip to the Yorkshire Dales following Wednesday’s action-packed instalment will need to wait until Friday to get their fix as they will go without their hour-long episode this Thursday. Both Emmerdale and Coronation Street will be aired during their usual 7.30pm and 8pm slots on Friday.

Elsewhere, after Jay Blades decided to take some time away from filming due to the breakdown of his marriage and a family tragedy off-screen, BBC One watchers were concerned to find out that The Repair Shop would not be aired.

The 13th series of the renovation program began in early April, 2024, but was abruptly interrupted to make way for the Euros 2024 coverage, sparking massive concern among TV fans.

Luckily, presenter Jay was recently spotted filming new scenes of the show in Bournemouth, hinting that his return is only a matter of time and fans will be able to catch up with the program on Tuesday, June 25, but change could still be ahead as the football tournament is due to end on July 14, 2024.
