Eamonn Holmes is reportedly planning to indulge in more lavish holidays alongside his girlfriend Katie Alexander just weeks after they enjoyed a luxury cruise together

Eamonn Holmes has reportedly planned more romantic getaways with his new girlfriend Katie Alexander just weeks after they returned from their luxury cruise.

Eamonn, 64, and Katie, 42, made headlines earlier this month when they were seen heading off to the luxury cruise with Eamonn in his electric wheelchair at Heathrow Airport alongside Katie. From there they jetted to Barcelona to board Virgin Voyager’s luxurious Scarlet Lady.

Now reports suggest that Eamonn has made no secret of his plans to jet set more with Katie having allegedly told many of his GB News colleagues about their plans. One said: “Eamonn’s lined up lots more cruises with Katie for the near future. It’s become something they’re both really looking forward to.”

Eamonn and Ruth’s split shocked everyone (The insider added that the pair are also reportedly toying with the idea of packing up and moving out of London to relocate to Eamonn’s native Belfast. Katie is reportedly also certain that Eamonn is her ‘soulmate’ and she’s ready ‘to love and care for him’ given his chronic health woes. “Eamonn is her man, and she’s there to look after him,” the source added.

Meanwhile, Loose Women star Ruth, also 64, has reportedly been left stunned by Eamonn’s new love interest. Earlier this month, a source said: “She’s just trying to get on with life and be around good friends, she’s partying through the pain and is trying to get through it. Ruth is distracting herself and doing things that make her happy keeping busy and being around friends, family and work is the only way she can get through it.”

They continued to The Sun: “Katie absolutely loves cruises and Eamonn used to say that Ruth was never one for travel. She didn’t enjoy going away and never liked going on a boat or a plane. It became a bit of a sticking point between them as Eamonn has always had a passion for exploring new places.

“Now, with Katie, Eamonn feels he can really embrace that side of life again. He’s eager to make up for the years he felt he missed out on.” GB News presenter Eamonn appears to be fully investing in his blossoming relationship, as he and his partner Katie are also believed to be set to move in together.

And it seems that he and marriage counsellor Katie are completely comfortable around one another, as Katie’s nickname for Eamonn has been unveiled as she continues to be ‘completely smitten’. “Katie is telling everyone that she’s totally smitten and in love. They’ve known each other for nine years, so this isn’t a fly-by-night relationship – she’s in it for the long haul. They’re now looking at places to move in together, as they want a lot more space,” a source told Heat magazine.
